Factual error: When Dr. Evil demands money from the United Nations, to the left of the Israeli speaker is a nameplate of a British gentleman marked "England" and a British flag. The British have been represented in the U.N as "United Kingdom" since its inception.

Factual error: Mary, Queen of Scots is depicted with a Scottish accent. However, Mary was raised in France from a young age and thus would speak with a French accent instead.

Character mistake: When Gordon describes Leonardo Da Vinci's idea for a flying machine, he mentions Da Vinci designed it in 1540. However, designs for Da Vinci's flying machines were dated as early as 1488 and Leonardo Da Vinci died in 1519.

Factual error: Isabella of Angoulême, (whom John is seen with during their introduction in the film) is portrayed as being in her early twenties when in actuality, she was born in 1188 and would be only 11 years old during the events of the film.
