Question: Whatever happens to Karl and Sarah? Are they the only ones who don't get together at the end?
Answer: In the follow-up short released last year it's revealed that, while she never got together with Karl, she ended up having a very happy life with a great husband (played by Patrick Dempsey) and children.
Answer: Karl and Sarah never get together, he just has that scene where he says Merry Christmas, and leaves.
Answer: Sarah's brother's therapist tells her the constant contact is preventing his progress and she needs to give him more space. She and Karl then get together.
That never happens in any way, shape, or form in the film.

Answer: "Consumption" was the name given to many illnesses. She actually dies of TB.
Answer: Nope! Consumption is TB. Symptoms of lead poisoning are...Pain areas: in the abdomen or joints Gastrointestinal: constipation, nausea, or vomiting Developmental: learning disability or slow growth Whole body: fatigue or loss of appetite Behavioral: hyperactivity or irritability Also common: baby colic, headache, insomnia, or memory loss. Symptoms of TB...Pain areas: in the chest Pain circumstances: can occur while breathing Cough: can be chronic or with blood Whole body: chills, fatigue, fever, loss of appetite, malaise, night sweats, or sweating Also common: loss of muscle, phlegm, severe unintentional weight loss, shortness of breath, or swollen lymph nodes Very different from each other.
Answer: Satine dies of Tuberculosis. It's really sad and heartbreaking. Harold keeps the fact Satine has it from her, until near the end of the movie, where he uses it to make her do as he says and that makes him the secondary villain in my opinion.
Answer: Lead Poisoning due to lipsticks and makeup being made out of it and her regular and heavy use of it.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
Question: At the end, when Frodo attacks Gollum in the fires of Mount Doom, does he attack him so he can get the ring back or so he can push him over the edge, hence destroying him and the ring? This doesn't actually happen in the book, Gollum just falls, and I was just curious.
Answer: He's just trying to get the ring back, not destroy it. The filmmakers just made this scene a little more intense by adding the struggle.

Answer: It left out and changed A LOT. Really more than can be written here. I would suggest doing a Google search on "The Iliad" There are several good sites that break down each book of the story.
