Continuity mistake: After she watches the Wicked Witch "melt", Dorothy holds the pail in her hands. She never walks away but if you look closely the pail just disappears from the scene, never to return or be seen again. (01:26:45)

Continuity mistake: Before she sends her back to Kansas, Glinda's wand is pointing at Dorothy's feet. In the next shot when she says, "Toto too" the wand is in her left hand. (01:37:15)

Revealing mistake: The Wicked Witch throws her hour glass at them and it's guided down to the floor by a wire. If you look closely before it hits the floor sparks start up around it and after it hits it doesn't move or roll, but just sits there. (01:24:45)

Continuity mistake: When they return to the Wizard with the Witch's broomstick they're standing in front of him in the dark. In the next shot they're in the light. (01:27:30)

Visible crew/equipment: Dorothy walks around Munchkinland and when we first see the Munchkin's heads popping up the crew's shadow can be seen on the flowers to the right of the screen. (00:20:55)

Revealing mistake: The glass in Dorothy's bedroom windows don't break, they are removed from their frames as the scene progresses, and if you look at the reflections in them the windows are made of plastic. (00:18:45)

Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the movie Miss Gulch parks her bike on the fence in front of the Gale's house and it's obvious that the fence continues in the same direction past the gate. When Dorothy comes back during the storm the fence now curves around right after the gate. (00:08:15 - 00:15:25)

Continuity mistake: Dorothy's house just went threw a cyclone with chairs turned over, windows blown out and pictures knocked off the walls. Yet her comforter stays neatly folded and doesn't move from the bed. It's also changed and now has a plaid design on it. (00:19:05)

Continuity mistake: At first the Tin Man starts chopping the top part of the Witch's door with his ax and two shots later he's chopping about two feet lower, near the handle. If you look closely when he eventually gets the door open, the top part has not been touched. (01:23:40)

Continuity mistake: The Tin Man holds on to the Lion's tail as he reaches the top of the mountain. In the next shot he says, "I hope my strength holds out" and he's back on the side of the mountain. (01:20:00)

Continuity mistake: When the Tin Man is levitated and falls to the ground the metal covering his left leg is crumpled up. When we see him again from behind as the flying monkeys attack, the metal covering his leg has never been bent. The metal on his lower back has also been repaired since the fall.
