The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: There are 5 burgers on the plate and one in his mouth when Homer walks off. When Ned calls over the burger in his mouth has gone and is now on the plate.

Mr. Bean (1989)

Correction: There isn't a "sudden" parting. The bowl Mr. Bean used has notch (like a lip or spout) on it and we see Mr. Bean cut the hair to follow the edge of the bowl, which resulted in him cutting an upside down V into the front of the hair (that the submitter thinks is a part).

Mr. Bean (1989)

Correction: Every time I've watched the scene, there is only the razor noise and no bell.

Bishop73

Corrected entry: When all the apes are gathering around the big block at the beginning of the film, look carefully at the sky. The clouds never move, not even slowly. (00:11:55 - 00:13:55)

OL1V3R666

Correction: It's not that they NEVER move; they just don't appear to move within the few minutes we are watching, which is perfectly natural.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: We don't know whether the plan was restarted or not. There was enough time in between the two episodes for the union to have taken the issue up with Mr Burns and demanded it back. Much like when the union went on strike to keep the dental plan and eventually won.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: Not really, there's an episode where Apu is seen putting old hot dogs to sell.So why would Apu use the safety rules now?

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: Actually, if you look closely, you can see a thin string connecting beads, it's just not distinct enough on the yellow background.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: Not really a mistake. She just didn't notice it.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: Homer's brother could've paid for a new, resembling the old one.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: Apu is a Hindu. Hinduism teaches that there is in fact only one god (Brahman), but that it manifests itself in many different ways, such as Vishnu, Shiva, Ganesha etc. Each of these manifestations can be worshipped as a deity, and most Hindus chooses which manifestation to worship (the "personal" aspect of the deity, Ishvara). But ultimately all prayers and sacrifices are directed to the same entity. As we can see through the entire series, Apu worships Ganesha primarily, but he would recognize other forms of god, called Devas, which often translates as "gods". It is not entirely accurate, but that's the problem with translation. So there is nothing wrong with him expressing both a monotheistic and polytheistic wiew of the world.

The Incredibles (2004)

Corrected entry: Whenever we see one or more of the Incredibles wearing a mask, when they blink their eyelids are black as if the mask covers their eyelids.

OL1V3R666

Correction: Considering the type of suits Edna Mode can make, is it really such a stretch that she can make masks that cover the eyelids as well? It does help camoflauge.

Volcano (1997)

Corrected entry: At one point we see a camera's view inside a tunnel with some lava approaching it. The lava then hits the camera, and it shows noise on the screen. However this wouldn't happen, a black screen should have shown because the camera would be severely damaged by the lava so it wouldn't be able to operate any longer.

OL1V3R666

Correction: Not so. The camera is connected to a VCR - it is not a camcorder. When the camera is destroyed the VCR will then send a disrupted signal to the monitor banks, and you get signal noise. What you see on the screen is 100% accurate.

Correction: Putting metal in a microwave doesn't make it blow up, it just creates sparks everywhere.

Season 1 Episode 8 - S1-E8

Corrected entry: When the man's phone goes off while he is playing the piano, there is a monophonic sounding text tone. That phone is a Nokia 6100, and the tone should have had a more polyphonic tone to it.

OL1V3R666

Correction: Polyphonic phones can still be used to download monophonic tones. My phone enables real sounding ringtones yet I still have my old monophonic tones.

Marge Gets a Job - S4-E7

Corrected entry: When the woman in Krusty's studio says that the wolf gets spooked by loud noises, Krusty mentions "loud" as the day's secret word. There are video cameras in sight, indicating that it was being aired on TV. The only problem is, it's not going to be the secret word any longer if it is revealed like that.

OL1V3R666

Correction: That's the point. Its a spoof of Pee Wee's play house where if a guest said the secret word noises and lights would go off and everybody cheers and yells. It would not ruin anything because it's just a fun play along gag for the kids at home and in the studio to play and get into. I believe the secret word is reveled at the beginning to the audience, just not the guests.

Mr. Bean (1989)

Correction: At varying points in the sketch Mr Bean is seen having more things in his basket than we see him actually buying. It's quite feasible that the item to which the contributor is referring was put in the basket by Mr Bean before he stepped onto the escalator.

Neil Jones

Corrected entry: When we see the outside of New Delhi, there is a news reporter outside, speaking in English (he is definitely Indian). If he's Indian, why is he speaking in English?

OL1V3R666

Correction: A major conference of the type depicted in the film would attract interest from all over the world. The reporter is covering the conference on behalf of an unspecified English language news network - you can see that the logo on his microphone has the word NEWS written on it in English.

Correction: Looking at the shot inside the church there is nothing to indicate that this is the local church that most the townspeople go to. Everything about the church is different from the local church including the walls (which are blue not purple) and the glass paned windows. Being also there is no familiar faces in the church its more likely that this is a different church.

Thunderball (1965)

Corrected entry: During the underwater fight scene, Largo pulls off Bond's diving mask so that he can't see. Bond takes one off a dead bad guy and puts in on. Surely the mask would still be full of water?

OL1V3R666

Correction: If you seal a mask against your forehead at an angle and blow bubbles up into it, the water is replaced with air. I have done this many times before and if you watch Bond he does it when putting on the mask.
