Star Wars (1977)

Corrected entry: Near the end of the sequence in which R2-D2 projects the hologram of Leia to Luke, 3PO is holding a rag. In the next shot he isn't holding it, then, when he says "I'm sorry, sir, but he appears to have picked up a slight flutter," he's holding it again, and in the final shot, the rag is gone.

Correction: Duplicate entry.

Hackers (1995)

Corrected entry: How does Dade's mother know Cereal Killer's name? Dade doesn't exactly strike me as the kind of son who tells his mom all about his friends and what they did that day. Cereal doesn't introduce himself to Dade's mother when he goes into their apartment, but when Dade's mother pokes her head into his room and tells Kate to help herself to anything in the fridge, she knows Cereal's name.

Correction: She knows Cereal's name because she asked him. Cereal is out going through their fridge as Kate and Dade are talking. So before Dade's mother went to Dade's room she bumped into Cereal at the fridge and the polite thing to do when a strange kid is eating your food is to at least ask him what his name is.

Friends (1994)

The One At The Beach - S3-E25

Corrected entry: When Phoebe finds out that Phoebe at the beach is her birth mom, Phoebes twin Ursula never gets mentioned, not once. Since her birth mom hasn't seen either of them since they were born I would have thought she'd give some thought to her other daughter.

Correction: Throughout the episode we only see a couple of minutes of interaction between the Phoebes. Ursula could have been mentioned off camera.

Andreas[DK]

Corrected entry: In Evan's final attempt to change the past he scares Kayleigh away and they lived happily. In the rush of new memories it shows what happened to Kayleigh's family. These memories are something he shouldn't have because he never saw them anymore.

Correction: Those are not his memories. The clips are just there to show the audience how Kayleigh's life turned out without Evan.

Andreas[DK]

Corrected entry: In the opening scene where Anakin and Obi-Wan are flying to General Grievous's ship, a clone commander says, "All fighters follow me in." When he says that, his mouth doesn't move.

Correction: No such line is uttered in the opening battle. The only lines uttered by clone pilots, where you actually see the clone, are: "We're on your tail, General Kenobi.", "Set S-foils in attack position.", and "They're all over me. Get them off my-". All of them have corresponding lip movement.

Quest for Camelot (1998)

Corrected entry: At the end of the movie, when the magic blast is putting everything to rights, the evil weapon men are reduced to their original forms, the dragons are separated, but Garrett isn't healed. If the magic is powerful enough to separate the dragons when they've been joined from birth and can undo the magical army, shouldn't it be able to heal Garrett's blindness?

Correction: Well since it didn't happen then apparently not. One explanation could be that the magic blast only affects things of magical nature, like dragons and enchanted armies. Garrett's blindness wasn't caused by magic.

The Ninth Gate (1999)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Corso and The Girl are in a stolen sports car following Liana Telfour to her country estate, there is a 'stop' sign visible on the driver's side (just after they exit off the highway) but they're in France, so shouldn't the sign say 'arret' instead?

Correction: No, French stop signs use the English word "Stop". This is because of a standardization of stop signs in the European Union. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stop_sign.

Andreas[DK]

Corrected entry: After John has supposedly fallen to his death in the elevator scene he shows up at the restaurant where Jane is celebrating his death and Jane asks him a question and calls him Tom instead of John.

Correction: Incorrect, she says "So what do you want John?".

Crash (2004)

Corrected entry: When Officer Hanson and Peter are discussing country music right before Hanson shoots Peter, the country music station gives the call letters KYHE. No such station exits, in LA or anywhere else.

Correction: So what? This is not a documentary but a piece of fiction; as such, it is free to use nonexistent company/product names.

Andreas[DK]

Corrected entry: When Neo comes to the Matrix in his final fight with Smith, he sees the Matrix world as the One does (The green coding). At the end, when we see a shot through his eyes looking up at Smith, he sees the way we normally do - without the green coding. (Just by viewing the shot, it is clear that we are meant to be seeing through Neo's eyes).

Correction: First of all, it is never stated that Neo can only view the Matrix as code after becoming the One. Second of all, it is nearly impossible in a movie to see if a shot is through the character's eyes or simply from his point of view.

Futurama (1999)

Episode Two: The Series Has Landed - S1-E2

Corrected entry: The part of the Lunar Module that Fry and Leela go inside shouldn't be there, the astronauts would of used it to get back to the CSM orbiting the moon. The whole thing lands on the moon but the cabin, the bit where they go in, should actually be floating in space somewhere after they had jettisoned it.

Correction: This is explained in the episode. When Amy shows up with the Planet Express Ship, right after Fry says "It's Amy, we're saved", you can see a plaque inside the module with the text "Lander returned to this site by the Historical Sticklers Society". So no mistake here.

Gangs of New York (2002)

Corrected entry: Late in the film when Bill is standing outside the barber shop staring down Monk, the Irish man running for Sheriff, Monk holds his club in his right hand with the leather strap around his fist. A quick cut to Bill's straight face, and then they show Monk holding the club in his left hand with no strap visible. (02:08:30)

Correction: First of all there is enough time between shots for Monk to switch the club to his left hand. Second of all the strap isn't visible when the club is in his left hand, because he is now gripping the other end of the club and the end with the strap is not visible in the shot.

Andreas[DK]

Corrected entry: Both young and old Stewie don't seem to know how human reproduction works. Yet in the episode where Peter and Lois decided to have another baby Stewie understood the biology well enough to shrink a ship and fly into Peter to destroy his sperm, implying detailed knowledge of the system.

Correction: This episode could have happened after the movie, since it isn't established where the movie fits in the timeline of the series.

Andreas[DK]

The movie is divided into 3 episodes placed at the end of season 4. The episode "Emission Impossible" is S3 E11, which is before the movie.

Whether this episode occurred before or after isn't relevant because that's doesn't explain why old Stewie doesn't know if at some point his younger self knew.

Blade II (2002)

Corrected entry: The heavily armed heroes walk around a nightclub. One even wields a drum-fed heavy machine gun - and no one in the club seem to notice or remotely care until people start shooting. Surely armed assault teams aren't that common a sight in these places?

Correction: This is not exactly an ordinary nightclub, and judging from the display of knives and other instruments at the club entrance, things crazier than an armed assault team have probably taken place in the club. Besides, bullets (the ordinary kind) don't do a lot of damage to vampires.

Andreas[DK]

Corrected entry: Ice melts from the outside in, so the dam should have melted at the same time as all the water behind it.

twine42

Correction: Yes ice does melt that way but the water behind the dam was most likely a river that had been blocked by the movement of a glacier. Ice dams did exist during the ice ages, some of them holding vast amounts of water and they still exist today in places such as Iceland. Here is some information on ice dams: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_dam.

Family Guy (1999)

Jungle Love - S4-E13

Corrected entry: Stewie goes to the airport after seeing a bad film; he puts his shoes through the tray and walks through the detector. He keeps walking and doesn't pick up his shoes but moments later on the plane, they are back on.

Correction: It's not moments later; you don't board the plane immediately after going through the security checkpoint. Stewie obviously realized that he was missing his shoes and went back to get them, in the time that passed while he was waiting to board the plane.

Pulp Fiction (1994)

Corrected entry: When Jackson and Travolta are at the apartment to collect the money from Brett, Jackson comments, "Check out the big brain on Brad," which should have been Brett.

Correction: He says Brett; he just emphasizes the word Brett so it sounds a little like Brad. (Even if he did say Brad it would still only be a character mistake, not a movie mistake.).

Andreas[DK]

He definitely says "Brad," which I have always interpreted as an indication of Jules' indifference to his soon-to-be victim's identity. As if to say, "Brad, Brett... it don't matter much to me because you gonna be dead in about two minutes."

What a great take on the situation. That makes perfect sense.

Corrected entry: Hedwig is supposed to be a female snowy owl, but only male snowy owls are completely white. The female has brown and/or black spots on her in order to blend in with the nest and trees; the males are white so they blend in with the snow as they hunt animals.

Correction: As mentioned in another correction, a completely white female owl is not that unlikely in a world of magic with dragons and whatnot.

Scary Movie 2 (2001)

Corrected entry: Brenda asks Dwight for some walkie talkies, yet a moment later she protests the group splitting up and insists everyone needs to stay together. Why would she want walkie talkies if she doesn't want the group to split?

Correction: Characters are allowed to have a change of mind. Or maybe she wanted the walkie talkies in case the group did spilt up even though she wanted them to stay together.

Andreas[DK]

Corrected entry: In the meeting between Yoda, ObiWan and Bail Organa, Yoda keeps swivelling his chair towards Bail or ObiWan but his legs aren't long enough to touch the ground and he doesn't touch any buttons to swivel it. (02:03:35 - 02:05:05)

Correction: Are you familiar with the force? Because Yoda sure is and for one as strong in the force as him, it would be a very small feat to swivel that chair and make it look completely effortless.

Andreas[DK]

Much like the floating chair scene. That's no magical chair, he's using the force.
