Show generally

Question: Something I read on Wikipedia made me wonder: were all six seasons planned out together in advance, or did each season develop naturally as it progressed?

Chosen answer: While there has been a certain amount of development as the series has gone along, the creators have repeatedly stated that the basic mythology and major plot points for the show's intended run were put in place from the beginning.

Namaste - S5-E10

Continuity mistake: In the replay of Sawyer meeting up with Jin, Jack, Kate, and Hurley, Sawyer takes his glasses off with his left hand. After the scene cuts to Kate and back, Sawyer is now taking his glasses off with his right hand. Not only that, but during that scene in the previous episode, he only took his glasses off with his right hand. (00:05:20)

316 - S5-E7

Continuity mistake: When Jack wakes Kate up on the island the first time, Kate asks if they are back. When that scene is replayed at the end of the episode, Kate's question is missing.

Trivia: Evangeline Lilly almost wasn't cast as Kate. As a Canadian citizen, problems arose regarding her visa and Screen Actors' Guild paperwork. She managed to get everything in order the day before the pilot began shooting.

Chosen answer: Nope, Charlie's British, most likely from Manchester. The name Liam was chosen for his brother as a deliberate nod to Liam Gallagher, who, with his brother Noel, formed the real-life band Oasis, which was part of the inspiration for Drive Shaft.
