Continuity mistake: When Maria and Lucas hear a boy crying out, Lucas rushes ahead, leaving Maria, who is badly injured in her right leg, to lag behind. But when Lucas reaches the boy, Maria is right beside them.

Continuity mistake: When the kid is writing down the names of missing people. He starts writing with his left hand while someone is talking to him. the scene cuts to show him writing from another angle and suddenly he is right-handed. There's no interruption between the scenes. In the rest of the movie he is right-handed.

Henry: But you know, you know, the most scary bit for me?
Thomas: When the water hit?
Henry: No. After that, when I came up, I was on my own. That was the scariest part. And when I saw the two of you climbing to the tree, I didn't feel so scared anymore. I knew I wasn't on my own. You see?
