Continuity mistake: After Marcus kills Kraven, we cut back to Selene and Michael. As he talks about her saving his life and that how everything has changed, part of Selene's fringe switches from hanging in front of her face to tucked to the side between shots. In the closeup shots it hangs in front of her face and in the wide shots it is tucked to the side.
Underworld: Evolution (2006)
Directed by: Len Wiseman
Starring: Bill Nighy, Kate Beckinsale, Scott Speedman, Derek Jacobi, Tony Curran
Continuity mistake: The pendant worn by Lucian in the first film triples in size whenever it is shown in Evolution.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where the helicopter is outside the castle, the entry team dons their diving gear to enter the water. They put on gas masks with one viewing panel. When the shot changes to a water view the entry team is wearing scuba masks, which have their viewing panel divided in half by a black line. When the team emerges from the water within the castle in the next shot they are back to wearing masks with one window. (01:16:40)
Trivia: The child-actor playing young Selene is actually the daughter of adult Selene's actress Kate Beckinsale.
Trivia: Co-star Tony Curran, who plays the villainous vampire Marcus, also played a vampire in "Blade II", and co-starred in "The League of Extraordinary Gentleman" - a film also featuring vampires.
Trivia: Tony Curran, who portrays Marcus, stipulated in his contract that he wanted his vampire fangs to be made in such a way that he could leave them in during the entire shoot - including days he wasn't filming.
Marcus: I know what you have done, Selene.
Selene: Viktor deserved his fate. And Kraven was no better.
Marcus: Kraven has already reaped the rewards of his own misdeeds. And yes, Viktor deserved his fate, many times over. A terrible business, the slaying of your mortal family. Yet so much effort was spent to conceal this matter from me. What do you suppose Viktor had to hide? Or perhaps it is you Selene, as the last of your wretched family, who has something to hide?
Tanis: You don't scare me, Selene.
Selene: Well, we'll have to work on that.
Question: My friend swears the lead female actress changes at about 10-15 minutes into the film. He says Yancy Butler of Witchblade fame plays the lead at first, and then someone else (I assume it must be Kate Beckinsale) takes over the role. My research to date tells me my friend is nuts. Is he? Is there any explanation related to this? (I think maybe it's due to my friend's pain medication/s - a side effect of some sort.) Thank you for the help. He paid me to research this for him (only two bucks) and so far I've spent over two hours on it. But I did at least learn about these actresses.
Question: What was the name of the song playing in the Yahoo only trailer? It starts when in says "this January" and goes through to the end. I really like this song and it is driving me mad.
Answer: Yellow brick road - Elton John.

Answer: This could be a confusion over characters. If I remember rightly, the film opens with a scene set somewhere around 1200AD, showing the three vampire elders, Markus, Viktor and Amelia, leading a war party. Possibly your friend has mistaken Amelia, played by Hungarian actress Zita Görög, for Selene, who doesn't appear in the film until after this lengthy flashback sequence has finished.
