Revealing mistake: Before Paxton is hit with the 3 prong instrument, you can see the bloody holes already on his shirt. (01:01:20)
Hostel (2005)
Directed by: Eli Roth
Starring: Jay Hernandez, Derek Richardson, Barbara Nedeljakova, Eythor Gudjonsson
Continuity mistake: When Paxton & Kana escape the factory by stealing a car, he checks his rear-view mirror to see the car pursuing him - the road has a dividing dashed white line on it. When the angle changes to see them driving away from the camera, there is no line on the road. Approx. time code 1:20:00.
Trivia: In the second youth hostel they visit, people are watching TV. The movie they are watching is Pulp Fiction, directed by Quentin Tarantino, who is one of the producers of this film.
Trivia: While Josh is being tortured by the guy with the shaky hands (right when he's slicing the back of Josh's ankles), he is screaming and wiggling in the chair. As he was doing this, the leg of the chair really crushed one of Derek Richardson's (Josh) toes. Despite the pain, he continued to act out the scene without telling anybody because he thought it would be more realistic.
Guard: Talk. Talk, speak.
Paxton: What the fuck do you want me to say?
Guard: American.
Paxton: We can't rail a girl that's in a coma. I think that's illegal, even in Amsterdam.
Question: At the very end of the movie, just before the credits stop rolling, we hear Natalya's line, "I get a lot of money for you, and that makes you *my* bitch". Sounds to me like a filmmaker's joke on the audience (meaning, he's making money 'cause people are watching his picture). Does anyone know what this really was intended to mean? Any official words about it from Eli Roth or his crew?
Question: Before Paxton escapes he sees guards talking to the police outside the building. I'm confused to why he says "oh shit" - is it because they pay the police to keep it quiet and that is why he doesn't shout for help to the police?
Answer: Exactly, yes. This interaction tells him that the police are in on the operation, and will not help him.

Answer: This is actually a reference to both Eli Roth and Quentin Tarantino's experience with the same hooker. After both Tarantino and Roth "had" the same call girl without either of them knowing, the hooker replied to both of them as she left their separate rooms, "I get a lot of money for you, and that makes you MY bitch. Hence, the opening line for the trailer. Both of them had a big laugh during the premiere.
