Other mistake: When Casey's men are robbing the Triads, Abbott says "Don't move or you're dead." He then turns to his left, and while facing left, he shoots two of the red Mercedes' tires. However, he is standing directly behind the Mercedes, so it would be impossible for him to turn to his left and shoot two of the car's tires.
Nuns on the Run (1990)
Directed by: Jonathan Lynn
Starring: Robbie Coltrane, Eric Idle, Janet Suzman, Camille Coduri
Continuity mistake: During the chase scene, Abbott shoots a member of the Triads in the leg. A police car arrives and cuts across the road, parking within several feet of the flaming car. Three shots later we see the police car is about twenty feet away from the flaming car, and is on the opposite side of the road.
Other mistake: After Charlie and Brian steal the Triad's money, a chase scene breaks out involving yelling, gunfire, and an exploding car. However, after Charlie and Brian run out of gas in the Toyota, there are instances of people walking around in the background as if nothing is happening. One person is carrying groceries while another calmly walks through a parking lot.
Trivia: As an in-joke, Brian Hope and Charlie McManus are both credited as playing the flight attendants in the ending credits.
Brian Hope: Look Charlie, some con men sell life insurance. The church sells afterlife insurance. It's brilliant! Everyone thinks you might need it, and no-one can prove you don't.
Charlie McManus: The church isn't selling anything, Brian.
Brian Hope: Oh! Well, if the church isn't selling anything how did it get to be so rich? Just remember, wherever there's a deep human need there's money to be made.
Charlie McManus: You think so?
Brian Hope: Of course, look at Kentucky Fried Chicken.
