Other mistake: Davis tells Kate to go and she jumps out of the falling plane, her chute opening. Davis then takes a minute to free Harvey from the plane as it's still falling before they both get out. Once they are free falling he takes a few seconds before he pulls their chutes as well. However as they are coming down close to the plane crash site, Kate is near level with them in altitude as they are all coming down together. With how high she was when she jumped out compared to the time it took for Davis and Harvey to get out of the plane and open their chutes, she would have been several minutes behind them in the sky, not right next to them. Rampage (2018)
Directed by: Brad Peyton
Starring: Dwayne Johnson, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Malin Akerman, Joe Manganiello
Suggested correction: She jumped first and would have already descended in altitude. Then the guys jump and freefalled and pulled their chutes so it is plausible they caught up to her altitude when their chutes opened.
Visible crew/equipment: While the team is investigating the space station debris at the wolf crash site, there is a low angle shot. The shadow of the camera is visible on one of the soldiers' feet. (00:21:50)
Factual error: When the soldiers are in the woods looking for the wolf, they come across a group a deer that bolt between them and around them scared for their lives and spooked. The deer runs behind the soldiers and they look at each other wondering what happened. Then the giant wolf, Ralph, suddenly comes up from behind the soldiers and eats one. But the deer just ran towards the direction the wolf came from. Meaning the deer got scared, but chose to run towards the giant hungry mutant wolf.
Suggested correction: If you watch carefully, the deer run past them to the right and away from the direction of the camera. Then the wolf comes from right, but from closer to the camera. At the speed that wolf is moving, it was able to circle around them and then strike.
Trivia: When Dwayne Johnson signs to George to calm him down, he says "it's me." The sign he makes on those words is for "Rock," a reference to his stage name "The Rock." (00:15:25)
Harvey Russell: Like my grandpappy always said: us assholes gotta stick together. (00:50:25)
Harvey Russell: Weirdos on the internet call him Ralph. (00:38:10)
Davis Okoye: Of course the wolf flies. (01:26:25)
Question: If the Wolf, the Ape, and the Croc were all exposed to the chemical around the same time, then why is it that the Croc grew to almost triple the size of the other two by the time they hit the city? The ape is bigger than the croc at normal sizes and the wolf is more or less the same size. So why did the croc get that much bigger than the other two?
Answer: Perhaps the chemical has different effects on the animals that it is being exposed to, and the crocodile was mutated into a much bigger size than the gorilla and wolf. I don't think the movie is really expecting anyone to question this, but is really just done to give the protagonists an opponent to face.
Question: Why did they have to call a stealth bomber all the way from Missouri to go to Wyoming to bomb the creatures? There is an air force base in Wyoming. And secondly, why even need a stealth bomber? they are targeting animals in an already heavily publicized event.
Answer: Likely because the bomber was prepared with the necessary payload, compared to any in Wyoming.
Answer: The Wyoming Base most likely did not have the ordinance or aircraft capable of carrying the ordinance required so they used the closed base with the available ordinance and aircraft. Not every base has the same ordinance and aircraft at the same time.
