Visible crew/equipment: In the end scene when Tony comes to Stephanie's house to apologise, you can see the microphone coming down from the ceiling. (01:52:20)
Saturday Night Fever (1977)
Directed by: John Badham
Starring: John Travolta, Barry Miller, Joseph Cali, Karen Lynn Gorney
Continuity mistake: When Tony walks into 2001 that first night, he shakes hands with some guy as he is walking through the club and again a few minutes later. (00:13:00)
Continuity mistake: In the beginning sequence of the movie, as John Travolta is walking down the street, he looks at two girls whom he apparently thinks are cute. In the scene with the second girl, whom he stands in front of while attempting to make a pass at, the heavy-set female extra behind this girl, who is wearing a white shirt and carrying a bag with a tomato on it, first is walking behind the girl in the same direction she is going (coming toward Travolta), then in the next shot is seen walking away from Travolta and the girl, and then in the next shot is back to her original position and is walking behind the girl again. (00:03:15)
Trivia: When Tony Manero's father slaps him on the back of the head during an argument at the dinner table, Tony replies, "Would you just watch the hair? You know, I work on my hair a long time and you hit it! He hits my hair!" John Travolta ad-libbed this line. Director John Badham thought it was so perfect for the character of Tony Manero that he decided to leave it in the film.
Trivia: John Travolta ran 2 miles a day and danced for 3 hours daily to get in shape for this film.
Trivia: John Travolta's sister and mother have cameo roles in this film. John's sister Ann appears as the pizza lady, and his mother Helen appears as the woman for whom he gets the paint.
Connie: Are you as good in bed as you are on the dance floor?
Tony Manero: If you're as good in bed as you are on the dance floor, then you must be one lousy f*ck.
