RoboCop

Factual error: When they show Alex's partner in the hospital his heart rate is showing 35 on the monitor. His heart rate is not that low from the EKG pattern.

Factual error: When during The Novak Element show Novak tells Sellars that Omnicorp's stock went through the roof there is a very simple math mistake. The stock goes from 520.70 to 1129.52, which is an increase of 608.82, or a 116.9% increase (608.82/520.70). Instead, in the movie they show the increase to be 53.9%, which is wrong, because the starting base is not 1129.52 (53.9% is 608.82/1129.52). (01:11:05)

Audio problem: When Dr. Norton disassembles RoboCop to demonstrate to him the reality of his situation, the movement of his lungs do not match Murphy's speech. (00:33:30)

Trivia: After the failed first scenario, Mattox says "I wouldn't buy that for a dollar." In the original "Robocop", a TV character had the catchphrase "I'd buy that for a dollar" that would make the characters in the movie laugh.

Trivia: When showing the pictures of Robocop's "combat mode", the pictures, with the exception of the human hand showing, are of the original Robocop played by Peter Weller.

Chosen answer: He most likely has an artificial heart or some type of system that circulates his blood, this system doesn't necessarily have to take the shape of a typical human heart. However if his biological heart is still functional, it may be behind the lungs.

Answer: Watch again the scene (s), especially close to the end when his armor is reverted to silver and just between his lungs; his heart is just behind his lungs and beating, though if you blink you might miss it.

Except the heart is located in front of the lungs, not behind them.

Why Murphy's heart isn't where it should be in a normal human is up to speculation-perhaps the transformation into a cyborg necessitated it's being repositioned, perhaps. The heart is there, though.

Erik M.

Normally, yes, but who's to say they didn't have a reason to move it behind his lungs when they rebuilt him?

Question: Many times, when Robocop's helmet screen is not in front of his eyes, he can still get and see information about people. How come?

Answer: The helmet doesn't contain a screen - it's purely there as protective armour. Murphy's heads-up display is built directly into his eyes.
