Wreck-It Ralph

Question: What is the logical reason behind King Candy's decision to delete Vanellope's code? What does he gain from it? From what I understand, he didn't think she'd become a glitch, but what exactly did he have against her and why delete her instead of any other racer?

Answer: As shown later on, Candy was revealed to be Turbo. A racer whose racing game was ruined by another racing game. His jealousy drove him to ruining both his game and the other game. Turbo then wanted to live in a racing game, so chose Sugar Rush. Vanellope was revealed in the end to be the leader of Sugar Rush and King Candy tried to delete her code and re-write his code so he could be leader and take part in all the races. That's why he didn't delete any other racer's code - because getting Vanellope's code deleted would have made him the leader. Candy had nothing against Vanellope, he just wanted to be leader by any means possible.

Question: Is there a process of how King Kandy transforms into a cy-bug once he is eaten?

Answer: Calhoun states that the cy-bugs turn into whatever they eat as it shows them gaining weapons and changing to candy colored when eating some candy. So when the cy-bug ate King Candy he basically became a mutant version of one.

Question: After Ralph destroys Vanellope's kart, she runs back into Diet Cola Mountain. The next we see of her, she's inside the Fungeon. When did that happen? King Candy and his officers apparently don't know that she can enter the mountain, so how would they have known where to find her?

Answer: This was just an oversight. In early versions of the film, we see King Candy lie in wait and capture Vanellope as she exits Diet Cola Mountain. It was cut for time and most audience members usually just assume this happens. Source: worked on the film.

Answer: This happened between the time Ralph left Sugar Rush and when he came back to Sugar Rush to confront Sour Bill. They knew that Vanellope was located in that specific area, so King Candy and his officers searched every part of this area since he knew for sure that she was around this place. Soon enough, he would have discovered Diet Cola Mountain, found Vanellope inside the mountain, captured her and locked her in the Fungeon.

Question: Are Turbo and his game named after some famous character and video game, if not what were he and his game named after? (01:41:00)

Answer: According to Disney Wiki, TurboTime is supposed to be a parody of Rally-X, but is portrayed as a racing game instead of a maze game.

Casual Person

Answer: No, he isn't. It's just the way he walks that makes you think that.

Question: In terms of her personality and attitude, what was Calhoun like before her first fiancee was eaten by a cy-bug? (01:41:00)

Answer: Calhoun's demeanor is depicted as having been significantly affected by the death of her fiance. The brief montage of their courtship and wedding - as well as her flashes of recognition during her later scenes with Felix - indicates she was likely once a very different person. That said, as her backstory was given to her, rather than her being actually going through that experience, she's only ever really had the personality shown in the film.

Question: Sour Bill imprisons Felix in the dungeon to make up for not doing so with Ralph. Why did he want to lock Ralph in there in the first place? (01:00:00)

Answer: King Candy decreed that Ralph be imprisoned, so he couldn't help Vanellope win the race. Sour Bill was obeying orders. Plus he wanted to get back at him for that torture lick he gave him. When Ralph escaped, he settled for Felix and blamed him for letting Ralph get into "Candy Rush."

Question: How does every racer in Sugar Rush have a coin from their past won races? Technically, it's a mathematic impossibility.

Answer: They have the opportunity to win a gold coin in every race it seems, with many races throughout the day, and only one needed to qualify for any given day.

Question: When turbo keeps glitching how come he doesn't stay in one form but kept switching between forms? (01:04:05 - 04:45:15)

Answer: His original code is showing through the code he's imposed to look like King Candy. His King Candy "disguise" is failing, but not completely.

Question: When Calhoun punches Ralph as he's watching the Random Roster Race, is she aware that he is Felix's friend that they were trying to find? If so, does Calhoun have a liking for Ralph even though she was angry with him for bringing a cy-bug into "Sugar Rush"? Would she be worried about him and try to rescue him if he was in danger of getting killed by a cy-bug?

Answer: Yes she is aware of who he is (She saw him in the escape pod with the Cy-bug) Just because she hates him for what he caused doesn't mean she will not help him if he is in danger.

Revealing mistake: When Ralph returns to the penthouse after destroying Vanellope's kart, he goes out onto the balcony and we can see the corner of the 'OUT OF ORDER' sign reflected on the window to Ralph's left. The piece of tape is missing in the reflection.
