Continuity mistake: When K zip lines down back to the beach, the sand shows light amount of tracks on the sand. In the next shot, the tracks in the sand have become much heavier. (01:31:30)
Continuity mistake: After K has placed the ArcNet on the Apollo rocket, he goes down a zip line and meets up with the Colonel on the beach. The shot from the zip line shows the colonel to be standing on the sand. Next shot, he's suddenly standing on the arrow signs between each zip line. (01:31:30)
Continuity mistake: The shot of Apollo 11 flying away from Earth shows spent fuel stages and other debris falling away. When the ArcNet deploys after a flash of light, all the debris disappears. The shield should envelop the debris as it falls back to Earth, not make it vanish. (01:32:30)
Continuity mistake: When the Afro-American military man lays dead, his cap changes positions between shots. (01:33:10)
Continuity mistake: In the first Men in Black, when K is deleting J's history; He deletes his birthday which was in 1969. The third film is set in 1969 and when K meets a young J, he is about 7 or 8. This would mean he was born no later than 1962, not 1969. (01:33:30)
Suggested correction: K First met J in 1969 and knows he will meet him again due to the time travel events in the movie. Agent O said that time travel was banned because it was so dangerous. Presumably, K could have been dismissed from the MIB if it was found that he knew of a time travel event and did not report it. Therefore, immediately following the events of the movie, Young K probably altered J's birth certificate himself, knowing that he could get away with it. Note the smirk on K's face in the first movie when he deleted J's birth certificate that he had altered himself.
In the first Men In Black, K very specifically says, "1968, well I guess you weren't born yet." to J.
Yes, because K still needs to cover up his involvement in time travel.
Continuity mistake: As K is asking the little boy what his name is, the boy's arms are down at his side. As the camera cuts and he says his name is James, his hands are suddenly fiddling with his shirt tail. (01:33:35)
Continuity mistake: After the time line is fixed, J meets K in the diner. In one shot, the spoon that is by K's plate moves to the edge of the table, then a few shots later it's back to its original position. (01:36:25)
Continuity mistake: When K returns to the diner to leave the tip, he places down the money with his left hand and his finger is still on it as the shot ends. As it cuts to the next shot he is suddenly pulling his right hand away from the money. (01:37:40)
Continuity mistake: After K remembers to leave a tip, the meteorite that was intended to land on Earth ends up hitting a satellite. The shot returns to Griffin, where he is shown to be looking uncomfortable and turns his head back round. Then as he says "That was a close one" in the following shot, he is suddenly looking calm and smiling. (01:38:00)
Continuity mistake: In the last scene at the diner, the various camera angles show the background characters. The view to Will Smith's right shows 5-6 empty seats down to a man at the end of the counter. When Smith and Jones leave, the camera pans left down the same seats and there is Griff sitting 2 stools away from Will's spot. He wasn't there 10 seconds earlier and has partially eaten food in front of him, indicating he was there for a while. And you think Will would have noticed him there after all they recently went through.
Continuity mistake: When J is shown the time-jump gear, the box is to the left of a pair of earphones and just an inch away from the log journal in front. When the shot changes the earphones are between both.
Continuity mistake: When J is drinking his chocolate the glass is next to his mouth in the angled shot from in front, but lowered in the angle from behind.
Continuity mistake: When Obadiah stands on the Chrysler building terrace his hair is either loose or tucked behind his ear.
Continuity mistake: When K and J drive to the bowling alley, the same junction with a shiny blue car and a man wearing an orange shirt is seen three times through J's window.
Continuity mistake: At the bowling alley, after K polishes the alien's head, the way his hair is messed up changes between shots.
Continuity mistake: When K questions J at the headquarters, K grabs his tie. From the immediate angle his hand is lowered.
Continuity mistake: As J flies backwards after the fish creature sneezes, he breaks through the plate glass window, and has the bottles in his hands. After the cut, he's just breaking the glass, and the bottles are missing from his hands.
