Corrected entry: When Ian and Dave are swimming in the ocean, Ian says his pelican feet are not removable, but later on in the film, when The Chipmunks are making a raft, they use the feet for oars.

Continuity mistake: When Simon is chasing after Alvin in the casino he jumps onto a tray being carried by a waitress. In the long shot the tray has two drinks one in a clear goblet and one in a tall red cup. However when he lands on the tray there is only a small clear glass with an orange beverage with a small blue umbrella, and a blue napkin.

Correction: They rip them off the suit, which is something Dave and Ian can't do while floating in the ocean. It's probably done with the pocket knife. But they're frayed at the edges from ripping or crudely cutting them off.
