Corrected entry: At the beginning, when King Hyperion is at the altar talking to the priest, he says 'Christ.' The year is 1228 B.C. (00:06:05)
Corrected entry: There are several times throughout the movie when we see close-ups of Kind Hyperion's hands, and they are almost always the hands of a stunt double as they look nothing like Mickey Rourke's actual hands (which are very distinct looking). (00:21:55)
Correction: But this isn't Mickey Rourke we're talking about. It's Hyperion, whose hands are apparently less distinct than Mickey Rourke's. This is like calling it a mistake when an actor doesn't look exactly like a real person they're playing. If his hands changed between long shots and close ups that would be a mistake, but unless we see his real hands as being noticeably different from the closeups, it's not.
Corrected entry: After placing his mother's body in the tomb, Theseus discovers and retrieves a magic bow embedded in stone. He cautiously tugs at the bowstring, revealing its magic power. As Theseus tugs and releases it, the bowstring vibrates loosely for nearly 4 full seconds, like a really, really bad guitar string. Such a loosely-strung bow would be useless as a weapon. Ancient Greek recurve bows were actually strung so tight (at well over 100-lbs draw) that they only vibrated with a THUMP for a fraction of a second upon release. The bow in the movie was probably strung loose so that Henry Cavill could make an "effortless" full draw moments later, but any archer would recognize the error.
Correction: The word "christ" or, in the original ancient Greek, kristos, was a title meaning anointed one, not a name. Prior to Jesus Christ, the word could apply to anyone considered anointed.
