Continuity mistake: When Vic is speaking to Bert at the hotel bar, Vic is seen putting his pipe to his mouth. But when seen from behind in the next shot, the pipe is nowhere to be seen, and in the shot after that, Vic is taking it away from his mouth again.

Continuity mistake: When we see the workers outside the hotel before the holidaymakers arrive, there is a cement mixer that is facing backwards, but when Pepe comes out of the hotel in the next shot, the mixer is now facing up.

Continuity mistake: When Vic bumps into Moira when she comes out of the travel agents, the handle of Cora's umbrella is facing right but in the next shot it is now facing left.

Continuity mistake: When Brother Bernard sees a security guard grabbing hold of Marge during the fight at the market, you can see there is a stall behind the guard. When Bernard runs up to the fight, the stall has disappeared, and when he punches the guard in the next shot, the stall is back again.

Revealing mistake: When Vic and Cora are disturbed by the workers at 5am, they put cotton wool in their ears and go back to bed. In the next shot, their hotel bedroom ceiling is removed by hand by two workers, but when Cora says "Vic! Look up there!", you can see shadows of ropes pulling the ceiling along. The ropes disappear when the camera cuts to the ceiling again.

Revealing mistake: When Pepe walks through the curtains carrying two planks of wood in the hotel lounge, he falls through a hole in the floor. When he falls through the hole, black curtains used to create darkness are visible.

Continuity mistake: When Jack Douglas is speaking to Sid James in the pub, there are two plates of bread rolls next to him, but in the shot when he puts his elbow in one of the rolls, the rolls on the second plate have changed position and a tomato ketchup squeezer has suddenly appeared.

Continuity mistake: When Pepe runs into the hotel after seeing the coach approaching, there is no table or chairs beside the doors. But when he comes out to greet the guests, a table and chair have appeared.

Continuity mistake: When Moira tells Sadie that she's going to wash her hair, you can see there is a bar of soap on the wash basin, but when Moira turns on the tap and sand shoots out of it, the soap has disappeared.

Continuity mistake: When June Whitfield picks up her towel and toilet bag when on her way to the bathroom, her toilet bag moves from one hand to the other between shots.

Continuity mistake: Watch the position of Moira during the party scene. First she is with Stuart by the balloon sculpture, but when Pepe arrives with the punch she is having a drink next to the table. And when Pepe says, "Champagne punchings", she is back with Stuart again.

Continuity mistake: When Sid James attempts to open the bedroom balcony door, it appears stiff and difficult to move. But when Peter Butterworth attempts to open the door, it is wobbling and rickety.

Continuity mistake: When we see the British plane in the sky, the first shot shows the plane in a cloudy sky, but in the next shot the sky is clear and the shoreline is visible.

Stuart Farquhar: Please, Miss Plunkett, you're squashing my itinerary.
Moira Plunkett: Oh, I'm terribly sorry. I keep on forgetting what a big girl I am now.
Stuart Farquhar: Quite, shall we get them out now?
Moira Plunkett: Why, Mr Farquhar.
Stuart Farquhar: The people for the coach, I mean.
Moira Plunkett: Oh, those. Yes, of course.

Trivia: There was no music played during the filming of the party scene, so the cast members had to improvise their own dance steps as the scene continued. Although music was added to the final film later in production, you will notice that some of the actors are dancing too fast or doing the wrong steps to the music.
