Continuity mistake: When Reid and Kato are fighting by the pool, the beach ball falls off the chair (beside the pool) when they land in the water, but is back up on the chair in a following shot. (01:12:25)
The Green Hornet (2011)
1 picture
Directed by: Michel Gondry
Starring: Cameron Diaz, Seth Rogen, Tom Wilkinson, Christoph Waltz, Jay Chou
Plot hole: In the first part of the movie, when the crime boss shakes down the club owner, he leaves a briefcase bomb inside the office. When he walks outside to explode it, the first thing that explodes are the club's billboard matinee lights, nowhere near the office, then the club explodes outward as it should from a bomb.
Kato: I was born in Shanghai. You know Shanghai?
Britt Reid: Yeah, I love Japan.
Trivia: Kato makes a comment of how time slows down when he fights. This is another reference to Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee punched and kicked so fast that it couldn't be seen on film and the film had to be slowed down just to see it. In addition, when filming, Lee still had to slow down his punches and kicks.
Question: Nicolas Cage was originally cast in the role of the film's villain, Chudnofsky. But he left the film just days before shooting. I have searched around on the net trying to find why, but I keep finding unclear and conflicting reports. So why did Cage leave the film?

Chosen answer: There were creative differences between Cage and the film's director, Michael Goundry. For one, Cage, who wanted an unconventional character, suggested the villain have a Jamaican accent. The director rejected that idea and there were others conflicts between the two about how the character should be played. Cage decided to turn down the role.
