Factual error: Eli uses an apparently moist KFC wetnap to clean himself in an early scene, yet it's been at least 30 years since the apocalyptic event happened. Unopened wipes only stay moist for months, even big packets of baby wipes only stay wet for 2-3 years.
The Book of Eli (2010)
Plot summary
Directed by: Albert Hughes, Allen Hughes
Starring: Gary Oldman, Denzel Washington, Mila Kunis, Ray Stevenson
Something happened 30ish years ago that wiped out civilization.
Eli is lead by faith to carry the last copy of the bible through the wasteland, to an unknown destination in the west. He kills anyone who tries to stop him. He walks into a town controlled by Carnegie. Carnegie hires thugs to look for the bible and wants to hire Eli. Eli refuses and the young Solara is sent to change his mind. Eli leaves and kills a bunch of Carnegie's men in a shoot out. Solara follows Eli and Carnegie chases after them. After a shootout at a house in the middle of nowhere, Solara and the book are captured and Eli is wounded. Solara escapes and goes back for Eli. The two continue to Alcatraz island where things from the old civilization are preserved.

Trivia: When Eli and Solara are in his room for the night there is a movie poster on the wall behind them for a similar post apocalyptic movie. "A Boy and His Dog". In Eli the survivors protect themselves from the sun's rays and in "A Boy and His Dog" they flee underground to hide from the sun.
Question: Throughout the movie at different times there were references to people's hands. Like when Eli takes off his gloves to show the engineer his hands and says I'm not one of them. Did anyone see an explanation for this in the movie?
Answer: He was showing them he wasn't a cannibal. He didn't have the shakes they get.
