Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where the deadites are invading the drawbridge, a person gets slashed by a guy on a horse. When he falls, if you look quickly enough you can see the end of an airbag come up under the bridge.

Army of Darkness (1992)
Ending / spoiler
Directed by: Sam Raimi
Starring: Bruce Campbell, Embeth Davidtz, Ian Abercrombie, Marcus Gilbert
Ash defeats the Evil Dead with the help of King Arthur, his tricked-out Chevy, and the chainsaw attached to his arm. He then is given a potion, which depending on the version you're watching, either sends him into the future, a blasted wasteland with no hope of escape, or back to the S-Mart, and one final encounter with the undead. Ash wins. In the director's cut of the film Ash is instructed to take 6 drops of a magic potion and he will awaken in his own time. He accidently takes to many drops and wakes up in London far into the future to find everything destroyed.
Ash: Now listen up, you primitive screwheads. This... Is my BOOMstick! The 12-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel... And a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. YOU GOT THAT?!
Trivia: The disbelieving clerk Ash is explaining his adventure to in the S-Mart ending is Ted Raimi, who can also be seen in the crowd below the castle battlements receiving Ash's pep-talk just before the battle with Bad Ash's Army of Darkness. Ted is director Sam Raimi's brother--and is best known for his part as Joxer in the Hercules and Xena TV shows (of which brother Sam was executive producer) where he again worked with Bruce Campbell.

Answer: Towards the end of the film, when Ash mounts his horse and rides off into the sunset (before it then cuts to present day and he's back at the S-Mart), you can see his chainsaw is strapped to the horse's saddle. It seems that he either recovered it after the battle or perhaps he sent someone to the windmill to retrieve it.
