The SWAT team leader is involved in the robbery. Just as he's about to kill Paul (Kevin James) he's shot by Paul's boss (Brooks). The thieves are arrested and police sergeant Howard offers Paul to join the New Jersey police. Paul says no to the offer and stays as mall security. He gives Amy (Jayma Mays) a birthday card and they kiss. During the end credits: Paul and Amy get married at the mall and instead of a traditional dance, they drive around in Segways.

Paul Blart: I know. I made one up. It's hanging in my room.
Trivia: Kevin James's real-life wife, Steffiana De La Cruz, plays "the lady with the kids in the mall." She takes a lingering glance as he rolls away on his Segway.
Question: If Pahud thinks that Paul Blart is with his girlfriend, why does he make him his "homie"? Wouldn't he hate Paul for taking his girlfriend?
