The Living Daylights

Continuity mistake: In the teaser, there is something wrong with the landing of the second agent. He lands on a dirt road and runs to his left behind some bushes while pulling his parachute towards the ground. To his right is a rock wall. In the next shot he lands again - presumably below that rock wall. But he was running in the opposite direction. If he changed direction and jumped over the wall to the right he would have run into his parachute. And it can't be a wall behind the bushes to the left he jumped over, because you can see from the shadows that the sun comes from the low side of the wall in both shots.

Continuity mistake: Bond is in the jailhouse and he imprisons the guard. He then smashes his arm with the iron door and makes him bleed. After that, he pushes the guard backwards on to the bed. While falling backwards, the blood on the arm disappears.

Continuity mistake: When Pushkin lies on the bed, his left arm is raised or not, depending on the shot. Also, his jacket is folded differently.

Continuity mistake: On the frozen lake, a cottage is blown to pieces, a wheel flies away, and many explosions take place, rising big clouds of black smoke. However, in the wide angle, the place is spotless.

Continuity mistake: When Bond leaves the Aston Martin on the mountain its roof and rear window are covered in snow. Right before it explodes the snow is gone.

Continuity mistake: At the Bratislava hotel, the sheets are rolled up covering the pillow. When Bond is placing the bullets inside the charger, the sheets are suddenly folded differently.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: At the Bratislava hotel, Bond puts on the black glove in his hand, closes it in a fist, but from the immediate angle his hand is open, and he's closing it in a fist again.

Continuity mistake: When the car cuts the large hole in the ice Bond doesn't move when he finishes the cutting the circle, but we see the view from his car, and he's several feet away. Also the size of the circle he cut out dramatically changes to being a lot smaller.

Continuity mistake: When Bond and Milovy escape Bratislava, it is snowy and wintry. When they arrive in Vienna, which is only 50 miles away and at the same latitude, it is late summer or early autumn, with signs of leaves changing.

Continuity mistake: When Bond exits the tunnel in the Aston Martin they get fired upon by an armoured car - look at the scenery outside the Aston, from inside there is no left turn, but one appears out of nowhere for Bond to take and head down to the frozen lake.

Continuity mistake: During the aerial showoff, in some shots the landing gear of the plane is extended, in some retracted.

Doc

Continuity mistake: In the final shots of the fight on the plane, where Necros holds on to Bond's boot, his right hand position on the boot changes between shots.

Continuity mistake: When Bond and Necros are fighting on the opium packages behind the plane, in the wide shot we see that Bond is all the way at the top of the bundle of packages - he takes his knife and cuts the net near his knee. In the next wide shot we see that Bond's head is above the top of the bundle of packages, but in the next close-up, packages are dropping from above Bond's head.

Continuity mistake: When Bond pushes Pushkin back on the bed in the hotel room, Pushkin has a basket with a bottle of champagne in his left hand. It disappears between shots, and there is no sound of it falling to the floor.

Suggested correction: The basket falls off his hand when Pushkin is pushed backwards on the bed (timecode 1:07:31), and one can hear a thump when the basket hits the floor (1:07:33), though it's slightly muffled because of the thick rug.

Sacha

I found a different timecode from yours, but I saw Pushkin drop the basket when I played the movie in slow motion. I couldn't hear the sound either since it was a bit loud, but I can be sure Pushkin dropped the basket on the rug.

Continuity mistake: When Bond lasers through the police car, the laser is at right angles. But, in close up shots, the angle is different.

Continuity mistake: When Q is demonstrating the stun gas/explosive key ring, when Q holds the keyring it's very slim. However, when it is placed on the desk and emits the stun gas, in close up it is very thick. This is obviously to make such a slim device emit the gas (probably an under the table gag).

Factual error: Austria is famous for its mountains and ski resorts, but certain parts of Austria are quite flat. And the border region between Bratislava and Vienna is VERY flat. No chance to cross the border over a mountain with a ski resort like shown in the movie, unless you take a 600km detour with three more border crossings.

Brad Whitaker: Necros can do it.
Necros: I've worked with the Russians. My appearance and methods are well known to them. It could jeopardize my comrades struggling for world revolution who depend upon me.

Trivia: After Bond returns to London (when he's completed his mission in Eastern Europe), there's an "establishing" shot of a London street scene. Look closely at the placards behind the newspaper vendor. One of the placards says "BLAZING JEEP AT 2,000 FEET" - a reference to the Jeep on fire and going over a cliff in the pre-title sequence, perhaps?

Question: When riding through the village Bond remarks "this is the work of Muhjadeens." What actions does he refer to?

Answer: Bond is referring to an attack on the Soviet military. There are damaged military vehicles and the bodies of Soviet soldiers lying around, so the village appears to have been recently "liberated" from the Soviets by the mujahideen, although with significant collateral damage to the village itself.
