Continuity mistake: When the agent is driving home, in all shots the air is crystal clear except for one back shot, when there is fog in front of the car. (00:01:15)
Continuity mistake: When Mulder tacks up the Princeton ESP article, in the first shot it blocks most of the large letter 'o' in the word 'to', but next shot the tacked up article is only beside that letter 'o'. (00:08:05)
Continuity mistake: When Sculley stands at the doorway telling Mulder that the FBI wants his help, the top book beside her has its spine facing her, but in the close-up when she says, "Someone's come forward," the book faces the opposite way. (00:08:10)
Continuity mistake: In the car, as Mulder hands Agent Bannan's badge to Father Joe, its photo is to the left with the clasp, but as Father Joe takes it from Mulder in the close-up the photo and clasp are on the right (before he turns it). (00:20:45)
Other mistake: Father Joe says "You brought me to the wrong house", which seems to be a proof of his psychic abilities. However, one does not need to be a psychic to notice the neighboring house all covered with yellow tape reading "CRIME SCENE DO NOT CROSS." (00:22:20)
Continuity mistake: When the doctor brings the soup to Cheryl Cunningham, who is being held prisoner in the box, (before he unlocks it) in the shot from inside the box there is a spoon handle sticking out of the bowl, but next close-up the spoon is gone. (01:02:50)
Continuity mistake: When the FBI are searching the office, Dacyshyn walks out, sees Mulder, drops the donor bag and runs with Mulder and Agent Whitney in pursuit. The donor bag is rear-facing when he drops it, but in the close-up it's front-facing to show the words "human organ for transplant", and its straps positions also change between all shots. (01:07:00)
Continuity mistake: When Mulder is hit by the truck from the Russian guy and his car tumbles off the road, you first see the driver seat window getting broken by the impact. Just before the car tumbles off the road and you see Mulder inside the car, the driver seat window reappears and does not seem to be broken. If you look carefully, you can see that the window is closed. (01:13:35)
Factual error: When Mulder avoids hitting the truck, in the shot from the inside of the car he turns the wheel full left which means that the car should start to spin anticlockwise. However, in the next outside shot the car spins clockwise. (01:16:25)
Continuity mistake: As Mulder's car hits Dacyshyn's truck, the front left side of the car and its headlight sustain significant damage, but when the truck's snow plow pushes the car all that damage is gone and the headlight is fixed. (01:18:45)
Continuity mistake: When Dacyshyn drags Mulder by his legs and brings him to the shed, he goes past the tree stump with an axe embedded in it, but in the close-up of Mulder's torso there is some debris on the tree stump and the axe has disappeared, then the axe reappears still embedded in the wood. (01:31:10)
Continuity mistake: At the end, there's a white car parked outside Mulder and Scully's house. When Scully comes out, it's now a silver car. (01:35:20 - 01:38:15)
Continuity mistake: When Mulder stops cutting out the newspaper article, he grabs the paper with his right hand and turns toward Scully, but next shot it's in his left hand and the paper with its partially cut headline differs as well. (01:35:40)
Continuity mistake: When Mulder cuts out the article about "Dr. Frankenstein", the cut is just above the article title, but when he tacks up the article it includes the heading of the 'Times Dispatch'. Then in its close-up the paper is cut just above the article title again and it continues to go back and forth in following shots. (01:37:20)
