Factual error: Scheider is honking the car's horn during the chase, but a close-up shows him pushing on the top of the outer rim of the steering wheel, while the horn switch is actually part of the center pad. (00:55:10)

Factual error: The Greyhound bus involved late in the chase is heading northbound on the Palisades Parkway in New Jersey, heading away from New York City (which the sign above the windshield indicates is its destination). (01:01:20)

Factual error: Near the end of the chase, when Buddy is ramming the bad guys' car, the scene is supposed to take place in New Jersey as they just crossed the George Washington Bridge. However we see a road sign for NY 100/133, indicating they are back in New York state on the Taconic State Parkway.

Factual error: When both cars in the chase are heading down Central Park West, it cuts to an interior shot of the Grand Ville and the passenger saying "C'mon, step on it." There are buildings passing by his window, which isn't possible, since Central Park would be on that side.

Audio problem: Despite the fact that Scheider's character is driving a Pontiac Ventura with an automatic transmission (note the floor pedals), the sound we hear is of a four-speed manual car being 'double-clutched' (reused sound from the Mustang GT in the film 'Bullitt'). (00:55:30)
