Stupidity: When Michael goes to Judith's room, all she says is, "Michael, what are you doing in here?" She doesn't even ask why he's all bloody.

Suggested correction: It's Halloween, and she most likely thinks he's got into the spirit. Let's also not forget how she treated him earlier when she blew off taking him trick or treating. It's obvious she doesn't care about him at all and is beyond self centered so it's not surprising she wouldn't comment on it.

Trivia: Aside from the more obvious relations between the original and the remake (i.e. "Don't Fear the Reaper", etc), one interesting one is how Michael acquires his trademark jumpsuit. In the original, it's implied he kills a trucker and steals his (we see his dead body in a field left with Michael's robes). Sure enough, in the remake Michael also gets the jumpsuit from a trucker - of course this time the death is plainly visible.

Question: Why did Michael stop attacking his sister and take off the mask, showing her the picture?

Answer: He was hoping that Laurie would realise that she's really his sister. However, because Laurie was just a baby and raised by another family, she had no idea why Michael was showing her the picture or what it had to do with her.
