Corrected entry: The premise that the gun has to be found so it doesn't link Joey and his fellow mobsters to the shoot out at the beginning of the movie makes no sense. Since Joey has retrieved the bullets fired off by Oleg and considering that the gun has gone through so many hands there is no evidence at all that the gun has ever been in Joey's possession.
Corrected entry: The f-word is spoken 275 times.
Correction: Counting expletives in a movie is hardly trivia. If it was, it would be equally valid to count any word used in the film.
Correction: Except for the entire scene in the strip club where the dirty cop is black mailing them because he was in the shoot out at the beginning of the movie, saw that gun being used to shot a cop in the crotch, and then saw Joe at the hospital trying to swap the bullets. That entire scene explains how the gun is linked to Joe.
