Continuity mistake: When Claire joins Drew on the couch in the hotel lobby, and says, "Hey, Mitch," she touches the urn with her right hand while holding the glass in her left. However, in the next shot it's vice versa. (01:12:25)
Continuity mistake: When Drew shows Claire the location of Mitch's memorial, he places the urn on the table in the ballroom. Other things on that table such as glasses, napkins, beer bottles, etc., keep changing position in the following shots. (01:14:10)
Continuity mistake: When Drew and Claire are in the ballroom near the end of the scene, Claire sets her glass on the table, then Drew comes behind her and hugs her with no glass in her hand, then they go to the next shot and she has the glass in her hand. (01:15:20)
Continuity mistake: In Drew's hotel room, in the shot from under the bed Claire is lying on her right side - note the position of her leg, as she reaches for her shoe and pulls it out. However, in the next shot as she pulls it out from under the bed (which she already did in the previous shot), she is on her knees. (01:20:00)
Continuity mistake: In Drew's hotel room, when Claire tries to rouse him from his sound sleep, he doesn't wake, but Drew's position, blanket, pillows, etc., change in the following shots. (01:20:15)
Audio problem: In Drew's hotel room, while he sleeps, when Claire and her red sandals stomp over towards the TV to try and wake Drew, she is making loud stomping noises as if she and her heels are stomping around on a bare wood floor, but there's carpet on the floor. Obviously deliberately done for the humor. (01:20:20)
Continuity mistake: When Claire is putting her shoes on in Drew's hotel room, the TV is on the left side of the dresser and there is a large filled snack bowl on the right. In the next shot, the snack bowl is gone, and the TV is on the right. (01:20:20)
Audio problem: Outside the hotel, Drew tells Claire about the "fiasco" and says, "And by the way, I didn't say million. I said billion!" In the next shot facing Claire, he is still talking though nothing is heard. (01:23:55)
Continuity mistake: When Hollie walks onto the stage at Mitch's memorial, she is wearing pretty black pumps with pointy toes and thin heels; these pumps are also seen in two more shots as she walks around on stage discussing life without Mitch. When Hollie places the mic on the stage floor to begin her tap dance, she is wearing tap shoes with wide flat heels and large silver taps at the toe. Hollie never changed shoes. (01:28:45 - 01:34:50)
Continuity mistake: When Hollie takes the stage she passes the huge photo of Mitch, beside the stage. When facing the opposite side of the ballroom from the stage, near the wet-bar on the left, there is another huge photo of a younger Mitch. Later, when the sprinklers go off, those two framed photos have actually switched places. Connie grabs the photo of Mitch which was originally near the stage and exits near the bar, and in the last shot of Ruckus playing to an empty ballroom, the other photo is beside the stage. Continuity mistake: A wireless microphone was laid down near the front of the stage so the speaker could dance. In many subsequent shots the microphone changed orientation and location. (01:34:50)
Continuity mistake: During Mitch's memorial, in the shot from behind Hollie, she places the mic on the stage floor directly in front of the multi-lamp borderlights, mounted at the edge of the entire stage. In the next shot facing Hollie from the audience POV, all four borderlights - each is 6-7 feet long - are actually gone and the entire stage's wood edge is clearly seen. They are back in all following shots, except one, from the same angle, and they were also gone when Hollie said, "Something huge," earlier. (01:35:00)
Continuity mistake: When Hollie tap dances during Mitch's memorial, both Dale and Drew stand up clapping, as Drew is wildly woo-hoo-ing. However, in the next shot facing the audience, both Dale and Drew are still sitting, until they both stand again in the next shot. (01:36:00)
Continuity mistake: During Mitch's memorial, after Claire tells Drew, "I want you to get into the deep beautiful melancholy of..." there is a shot of the audience as Ruckus plays Freebird, and Hollie and Heather have their backs to the stage as they speak to someone, while everyone else is going wild. When it cuts to close-ups, both face the stage and Heather is jumping up and down yelling, and Hollie is laughing. (01:39:05)
Continuity mistake: When the sprinklers go off, Mitch's ex-fiancée grabs his portrait and runs out, but in the next shot of guests running out of the ballroom, you can still see it in the background. (01:41:00)
Continuity mistake: After his father's funeral, when Drew turns on the ignition and in following shots, the leather band that he wears on his right wrist (not the watch) is clasped with its strap facing his thumb, yet when he passes the sign for 60B, the band goes round the opposite way. Then, when he listens to The Hombres the leather band is flipped back, but when he picks up Global Business Today magazine it's switched yet again, and so on. (01:43:00)
Visible crew/equipment: While on the road trip, just before the close-up of Drew's fingers raising the CD volume for The Hombres, there is a shot facing the windshield as the car is moving and the shadow of the camera equipment mounted on the car is visible to the left of the hood, moving along with the car. Continuity mistake: After Drew reads Global Business Today during the road trip, there is a close-up of Claire as she writes "here is a river..." in the map, which cuts to a close-up of Drew holding the map. The handwriting differs in the close-ups. (01:45:45)
Visible crew/equipment: During the road trip in Memphis, there is a close-up of Drew wearing Elvis sunglasses, and the camera and reflector shield are reflected in the lenses. (01:46:35)
Continuity mistake: When Drew stands in front of the Lorraine Hotel holding the photograph, the way he grips it noticeably differs between shots. (01:47:10)
