Continuity mistake: At Mercury Headquarters, when Phil speaks of "Sh*t hitting the fan globally," and reads the memo from the DCS CEO, in Drew's close-ups he has a bruise on his upper lip, which is gone in previous and following close-ups. (00:08:25)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: In his apartment, when Drew empties the closet, in the third shot there are different items stacked on the shelf and the style of some hangers change, etc. Then by the sixth shot, when two boxes fall, they're back up on the shelf in the next shot, and so forth. (00:11:05)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Drew is in his apartment, and receives the call from his sister, the lighting and shadows cast on the walls and floor distinctly differ, where it is applicable in consecutive shots, during this scene. (00:13:00)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: In Drew's apartment, after Heather tells him of their father's sudden death, when Drew gets off the bike, the right closet door is nearly closed, as he heads towards the window. In the next close-up, that door is wide open. (00:13:15)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Drew looks out the window of his apartment, in the first shot the four men load the pickup with Drew's things, yet, two shots later, many of the bulky items are back on the sidewalk stacked up. (00:13:25)

Super Grover

Visible crew/equipment: Before Claire changes into her uniform, in the shot of her back as she walks through the terminal, two crew members and the camera are reflected in the glass door in front of her. (00:15:20)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: On the airplane, when Claire walks into the cabin and spots Drew, to her left and right are large vertical white magazine racks mounted on the walls. When they land, as Drew is about to leave, the right magazine rack is gone. (00:15:50 - 00:21:30)

Super Grover

Audio problem: On the flight to Kentucky, Claire tells Drew, "Cause the roads around there are hopelessly and gloriously confusing." When she says the words, "There are hopelessly" it cuts to Drew's close-up as she pats his arm and smiles broadly, obviously not saying the words we hear. (00:17:05)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Claire greets Drew and then takes a seat beside him on the airplane, the part in her hair repeatedly differs between shots. Later, when Drew and Claire run back to the ballroom, where they left Mitch, her hair is pulled into a barrette, and some of her hair alternates between loose or not. This type of thing occurs numerous times in the film. (00:17:20)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Drew is on the flight to Kentucky, there is an exterior shot of the airplane, which shows a massive jumbo jet, that accommodates hundreds of seats. In the interior shots of the airplane, there are 10-12 rows, totaling at most 72 seats in economy, and about 12 seats in first class, which makes for a very small airplane, similar to a Boeing 737-200. There is a very big difference in airplane size. (00:17:35 - 00:21:45)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Claire draws the map on the airplane, Drew lifts his glass, which has no ice and is more than half empty, and sighs. A few shots later, Drew's glass is filled and has plenty of ice. (00:17:40)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When the airplane lands in Kentucky, Claire hands Drew the hotel coupon with her phone numbers written on the back, which he looks at as he walks through the terminal. When Drew phones Claire from his hotel room, he holds up the coupon and everything differs, even the cute dotted line around "don't miss 60B!!" is now a solid line. (00:23:00 - 00:43:50)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: On his way to Etown, Drew pulls over to the side of the road because he missed 60B. In the two exterior shots of the car, the right front passenger headrest is attached to the seat. However, in all other shots it has been removed. Additionally, when Drew pulls his car alongside Claire's car to say goodbye, both of the front seats' headrests have been removed from her car just for that shot, as she looks out the back window. (00:24:35)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: On the way to Elizabethtown, when Drew pulls over and has a bit of a fit in the car, in the two exterior shots there is a fence that runs the length of the field on the car's right, and open field on the left. However, in the interior shots there is a fence on the car's left. (00:24:35)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: After Drew's little fit over actually missing 60B, in the interior car shot when he continues driving, the concrete barrier dividing the highway is on his left, as he sees the huge Elizabethtown sign. In the next exterior shot of the sign, the road is entirely different with no concrete barrier, but when it cuts back to Drew getting all giddy, the barriers are back, etc. (00:24:50)

Super Grover

Visible crew/equipment: When Drew finally arrives in Elizabethtown he sees townspeople waving and a sign in the window mourning his dad. As he drives past the glass storefronts, on his left the reflection of his moving car is seen with equipment mounted on the hood and back bumper. (00:25:55)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Drew pulls into Clark Funeral Home's parking lot, it is sunny and there are short shadows cast. In a following shot, as he walks toward Jessie, there are very long shadows cast. (00:26:20)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: At the funeral home parking lot, when Drew asks, "Jessie?" he holds the garment bag with the zipper facing out and the clear plastic inset facing his back - note the blue suit. Then, when Jessie hugs Drew in the first shot, the garment bag faces the opposite way, yet in the next shot, it's turned round again. (00:26:45)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Jessie hugs Drew in the parking lot, there is an outline of the suit within the garment bag, which hangs from the single hanger that Drew holds. However, when Drew greets Dale and Charles Dean the bag is thicker and he holds two hangers. (00:26:55)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: At the cemetery, when Jessie and Drew walk over to Dale and Charles Dean, who are standing at the burial plot, the men's positions move a few feet between shots. (00:27:00)

Super Grover

Drew Baylor: No true fiasco ever began as a quest for mere adequacy. A motto of the British Special Air Force is: 'Those who risk, win.' A single green vine shoot is able to grow through cement. The Pacific Northwestern salmon beats itself bloody on it's quest to travel hundreds of miles upstream against the current, with a single purpose, sex of course, but also... life.
