Plot hole: At the beginning, it shows Santiago crossing the border into the U.S. But the U.S. border patrol is on the Mexican side.

Continuity mistake: When Newcastle plays Chelsea the ball is yellow, but when we see shots from the real game it is white when we see the actors with the ball.

Revealing mistake: In the game against Liverpool, there is a reversed shot after Harris scores the first goal. It is fairly obvious since all of the players' numbers are backwards, in addition to the advertisements in the background. (01:45:25)

Continuity mistake: During the final game against Liverpool they show Munez running to celebrate with Harris after Harris' first goal and Munez is wearing jersey number 8, but when Munez scores the final goal of the game he is wearing jersey number 26.

Suggested correction: They're different players that just look the same. Munez is 26.

Continuity mistake: When Munez's boss is teaching him that the ball can travel faster than he can run, he has two balls which he kicks one at a time. As he kicks the second ball, he suddenly holds another one. (00:54:15)

Continuity mistake: One night, before the game against Liverpool, Munez is kicking a line of balls into the goal. As he kicks the last ball, the shot changes to a view from behind the goal, and for an instant a line of 4 other balls are visible. In the next shot, they're gone. (01:39:45)

Continuity mistake: In the last match against Liverpool, just before Milan Baros makes his own goal he kicks the ball outside the large area, but suddenly in the next shot he is inside the area, 12 feet away from the goalkeeper.

Continuity mistake: When Hernan is watching Santiago on TV at the bar in Los Angeles, the guy who tells him "if your son makes a goal, I invite you a beer" leaves him and grabs his beer, but in the next shot the beer is back on the bar.

Continuity mistake: When Santiago gets to his first day with Newcastle it's not raining, not even cloudy, but when he gets to the training field it's completely wet and raining a lot.

Continuity mistake: On his first training day with the rain, Santiago tries to kick the ball and falls to the floor and his face is clean, but when he stands up his face has mud on it, then more mud.
