Factual error: Laredo drives the ship out of the starship docking station and scrapes the main hull on the walls. This would not be possible without either scraping the wings first, as they are much wider than the main ship, or turning nearly sideways, which they clearly don't.
Galaxy Quest (1999)
Ending / spoiler
Directed by: Dean Parisot
Starring: Sigourney Weaver, Sam Rockwell, Alan Rickman, Tim Allen, Tony Shalhoub, Daryl Mitchell, Robin Sachs
With some practice, the actor playing the ship's pilot becomes an expert pilot and destroys Sarris's ship by dragging magnetic mines onto it. Sarris beams over in disguise to kill the crew, but the Captain uses the Omega 13 (a device which rewinds time by 13 seconds) to undo the deaths and attack Sarris while he is still in disguise. The ship crash-lands in the Galaxy Quest convention centre, where the crew get out; Sarriss also gets out, is mistaken for an alien in costume, and killed by a phaser blast. A new series of Galaxy Quest is announced in which the "red shirt" actor plays the Head of Security and his Thermian girlfriend also gets a part.

Sir Alexander Dane: Could they be the miners?
Fred Kwan: Sure, they're like three years old.
Sir Alexander Dane: MINERS, not MINORS.
Fred Kwan: You lost me.
Trivia: The scene near the end of the film where the bad guy kills all of the Galaxy Quest crew is very similar to a scene in the '70s British sci-fi TV show Blake's 7. In that scene, the crew are shot one by one in the same fashion as in this scene.
Question: At the end of the film, Malthazar says "The ship was a model as big as this - a very clever deception indeed." Does he mean that the Thermians now accept they were decieved by the "historical documents", or does he still believe the "documents" were real and the Captian was deceiving Sarris by pretending to admit they were false?

Chosen answer: He thinks that the Captain was just tricking Sarris and the "documents" were real.
