Mutiny on the Bounty

Continuity mistake: After swimming, Tehanni and Maimiti exit the sea with bare behinds, but they are covered in the following shot.

Factual error: In reality, Captain Bligh was never on board the HMS Pandora, and he was not present at the trial of the mutineers who stayed on Tahiti. At the time he was halfway around the world on a second voyage looking for breadfruit plants.

Factual error: During the movie, a chart showing the ship's progress is shown. On this map, Australia is named as such. At the time of the Bounty's voyage, Australia was known either as New Holland or Terra Australis. It was Matthew Flinders who suggested the name Australia in 1803.

Captain William Bligh: I'll live to see you - all of you - hanging from the highest yardarm in the British fleet.
