Continuity mistake: When John and Jane open the door to greet the neighbours after the fight, Jane is on John's right side under his arm. In the next clip she's on his left side.
Continuity mistake: When Jane and John are fighting in their house, John runs by and knocks the teapot over. He fumbles with it then grabs it with the top facing him. In the next shot, the top is facing away from him, so that it may proceed to fall off.
Continuity mistake: After John races Jane home and goes in through the back, he breaks a pane of glass square with his elbow to unlock the door. About 1 second later, the break in the glass is different and no sound is heard of more glass falling off to change the shape.
Continuity mistake: When they are both fighting each other in their house Brad throws Angelina against a wall and you can see that she is a stunt double.
Continuity mistake: After Jane and John have finished destroying there own house. Jane goes to the fridge to get something to drink revealing one of Jolie's real tattoos on her arm that Jane does not have in any other shots.
Continuity mistake: During the fight in the house John gets two cuts in the face. But even seconds after the fight ends, the cuts no longer bleed, and the blood is dry.
Continuity mistake: John shoots Jane's car, but in the later shots of the film, the holes of the bullets are gone.
Continuity mistake: In the scenes prior to the Smith's house being blown up, when Jane is wearing only a white shirt, she is not wearing a watch. In the scene just after their house is blown up, where they are lying in the yard, Jane is wearing a watch.
Continuity mistake: When John comes home after discovering Jane's identity his neighbour says his car is on the sidewalk. But in the next shot it is not.
Continuity mistake: When John and Jane are having breakfast on the floor after their huge fight, John eats something out of a tall silver container. He then puts it on the floor next to Jane, who picks it up and sticks a spoon in to get some of what's in there. It then cuts to a closer shot of the pair, and Jane is chewing on the food and putting the container down, even though she didn't put it in her mouth.
Continuity mistake: When John smashes a window to break into their house, the size and shape of the hole in the glass changes between shots.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Jane and John are driving the stolen minivan and fighting the BMW's on the bridge, the sliding side door and hatch alternate between shots of being opened and closed. Jane's hair flies around from the door being open, before it is ever opened for the first time. These changes occur between wide and close-up shots, and between Jane's and John's close-ups, throughout the entire scene.
Continuity mistake: One of the times that Angelina Jolie uses her binoculars to watch the approaching convoy of humvees in the desert, she increases the magnification. At the same time, the view changes from showing the vehicles head-on to showing them more from the side.
Continuity mistake: While John's standing at the minivan's open rear door hitting the guy with the golf club, we can see that the van's rear-view mirror has been removed for this shot, but it's back in its place in following shots.
Continuity mistake: While the Smiths are hiding out in the small shed in Home Made, at one point Jane's glasses are folded and hanging from her neckline with the nose guards facing her right, but in the next shot the glasses are facing her left, then it's back to her right, and finally her left again.
Continuity mistake: When John comes home to the lovely pot roast dinner he places his martini glass on the table, and when Jane takes the skewered olives in the closeup there are three, but in the wideshot there are only two olives on the pick as Jane puts it in her mouth.
Continuity mistake: When Jane opens the minivan's hatch the driver's side window is already shattered, before it actually happens.
Continuity mistake: After John hits the guy with the golf club he pulls the grenade pin, and when John dives back into the minivan he knocks down the rod holding the dry cleaning hangers, but then the rod is back up again without the hangers, and when the last two BMWs are taken out, the dry cleaning hangers are back up as well.
Continuity mistake: After John fakes his death in the falling elevator, in the wideshots he reaches up with his left hand to disconnect his video feed, but in the closeup it's his right hand disconnecting it.
Continuity mistake: During the car chase scene, the minivan driven by Brad sometimes has its left tail light and sometimes does not. This mistake is visible several times during the scene.
