Sleepaway Camp

Trivia: Some of the campers seen getting off the buses at the beginning of the film are relatives of the cast and crew.

Trivia: The director dedicated the movie to his mother.

Trivia: Some fans have speculated that there may really be two killers in this movie, that it's actually Ricky Thomas killing everyone up until he gets beaten up by the camp owner Mel Kostic, and that the only people Angela kills in this film are Mel and Paul. However, the film never confirms this for certain.

Trivia: The original artwork for the Sleepaway Camp Survival Kit box set was recalled after complaints were made by the Red Cross.

Trivia: One year after this movie was released, actors Paul DeAngelo (who played nice counselor Ronnie) and Katherine Kamhi (who played nasty counselor Meg) both appeared in the 3-D slasher film "Silent Madness". In this film, DeAngelo survives while Kamhi dies. In "Silent Madness", however, DeAngelo dies while Kamhi survives.

Continuity mistake: When Meg comes up to Angela, taunting her, Angela's head position and the look on her face changes in each shot.

Question: Why did Angela / Peter refuse to eat much food at first, and also refuse to play volleyball? She / he could probably do those things without the secret being revealed.

Answer: Watch his first scene at his aunt's. He doesn't speak at all. Clearly Angela/Peter has had a withdrawn personality since the death of his father and older sister. So doing activities with other kids is one thing he wouldn't do, as for eating, a lot of kids don't at first if they miss home.
