Other mistake: During the subway scene, when Dorothy, Tin Man and Scarecrow are trapped behind the red fence, there is no lock on the door in the fence. The door bounced once before falling shut, so it's probably not stuck. So how are Dorothy, Tin Man and Scarecrow unable to push it open?

Factual error: Dorothy tells Miss One that she lives at "433 Prospect Place." Dorothy is supposed to live in Harlem. Any New Yorker knows that there is no Prospect Place in Harlem. In reality, Prospect Place is in Brooklyn and is, in fact, where the street scenes for "Harlem" were filmed.
Aunt Em: Girl, do you know that you're 24 years old, and you've never been south of 125th Street? Well, you haven't.
Trivia: According to an unauthorized biography, "Call Her Ms. Ross," Diana Ross was hospitalized and neaarly blinded by the lighting effect used for the movie.
