6.8/10.A decent spin off from DareDevil. Jennifer Garner revives the Elektra character pretty good.I wish though she'd gone against The Hand's leader instead.Sort of like Vader vs his son.The movie itself while not perfect is far from bad like Superman 3 or Steel. I would say it falls in between decent and good. The biggest problem here is Garner who, at times, seems like she's almost delivering a half hearted performance as if bored. This from someone whose biggest movie up to this point was 13 Going On 30.She should've been more grateful.Still she's better than Jennifer Lawrence who seemed zombie like in X-Men:Apocalypse.

Continuity mistake: When DeMarco lifts his glass to look at Elektra you can see there's no meniscus where the liquid hits the glass. When it cuts to a close-up of the glass there now is. (00:05:55)

Trivia: An "Elektra" movie was almost made in the 90s by Oliver Stone of all people. He wanted to do a film titled "Elektra: Assassin" that would have followed Elektra battling The Hand, and he wanted professional volleyball player Gabrielle Reece to play the titular character. When the rights to Daredevil and Elektra were sold to Fox, Stone left the project due to the complications of working with different studios and producers.

Question: When Elektra goes back to her old house, she uses the gas stove to blow up the bad guys. She also turns on the bedside lamp. Is someone really paying the electric and gas bills after all those years? I'm assuming she didn't call Con Ed to reup right before she went to the house to fight.

Answer: Elektra's father was a wealthy shipping magnate and could afford to maintain the electric and gas bills for a house that the family hadn't visited in years.
