Corrected entry: The story takes place in the summer of 1958. During the scene where Jeff Bridges describes the auto accident that killed his two sons, Jeff states that the shoe on the foot of his son's severed leg at the scene of the accident was an Air Jordan. Michael Jordan was not born until 1963, never mind the fact that he wouldn't have shoes named after him until many years later.

1 corrected entry
Directed by: Tod Williams
Starring: Jeff Bridges, Kim Basinger, Elle Fanning, Jon Foster
Ted Cole: And so the little boy was born, and he was happy. And his mommy was happy, too. Although she told the boy, at least once every day, "Don't ever, not ever, never, never, never, open the door in the floor." But of course, he was only a little boy. If you were that little boy, wouldn't you want to open that door in the floor?

Correction: The movie takes place in the present; the novel takes place in 1958. A lot of the things that happened in the movie wouldn't have happened in 1958.
