Corrected entry: In the scene where Harold and Kumar are at the gas station, the sign next to the pump says "self serve". It is illegal to pump your own gas in NJ.
Corrected entry: In the scene after Harold and Kumar leave Burger Shack, Kumar says, "Remember when Goldstein used to work at that burger place?" Well, wouldn't they know there wasn't a White Castle in that location to begin with?
Correction: "Burger Shack" may be franchised and Goldstein could have worked at another location.
Corrected entry: Neil Patrick Harris's part was originally written without him knowing about it. After the movie was being cast he was approached and agreed to do it.
Correction: Actually NPH wasn't approached to do the film. One of his friends had the chance to audition for the role and the friend called up NPH to tell him that there was a role with his name and he needed to get some lawyers on it and stop it. Instead NPH read the script and wanted the role, as long as he wouldn't have to bash on his previous career moves because he was grateful for them and didn't regret them.
Corrected entry: When Harold and Kumar go to the Burger Shack drivethru, the employee goes nuts shouting about burning the place down. As he pulls over the breadrack his hat falls of his head. We then see him make his way back over toward the window and then fall. As he gets back up he is again wearing his hat which should still be several feet behind him.
Correction: During his rampage he could have kicked his hat around a bit to where he falls and put it on before he got back up.
Corrected entry: When the girl in pink in the bathroom scene is pulling all the toilet paper off the roll, right before the shot cuts away, you can see she runs out of paper but still continues to make the pulling motion, as if there is more. It's only for a second, but noticeable.
Correction: I went through this scene several times, and at no point does the toilet-paper run out. Hence, her still acting as if she is pulling it is not a mistake, because she IS still pulling it. They even mention in the commentary that they cut before she ran out of TP, to maximize the joke of her using so much.
Corrected entry: When Harold and Kumar are at the toll booth, the guy from behind yelling at them the third time is gripping the steering wheel from the left side of screen. (00:14:10)
Correction: Not sure exactly what this mistake is. More detail?
Corrected entry: In the scene where Harold and Kumar are on a cliff in the Xtreme guys' Ford Bronco, the front wheels are hanging off the cliff. All Ford Broncos had rear wheel drive (or 4-wheel drive, which this model most certainly has, being "Xtreme" and all) and therefore they would have been able to back off of the cliff. (01:10:20)
Correction: Not necessarily. If the rear wheels have no traction, it won't move. Also, if the vehicle's weight is off the rear wheels, they'd still be stuck, as the tires can't get a grip on the ground. Even if the rear wheels are touching, but have no weight on them, they will just spin. Of course, the front wheels would have no purchase as they are hanging over the edge.
Corrected entry: There is no simple "test" to see if someone has rabies or not, as Harold is apparently given.
Correction: Who says the test was simple? We don't know how much time passes between them arriving at the hospital and the test being completed.
Corrected entry: In the scene where Harold is in prison and Kumar comes to rescue him, we hear police sirens as the cops come back after they all go out to investigate Kumar's fake shooting. As the cops pull up, there is a shot of the front of the supposedly empty police station, where a cop is very visibly standing in the window.
Correction: It's a life-size cut-out, not a real cop.
Corrected entry: When Harold and Kumar are running away from the campus security at Princeton, they crash into the "Business Hippie", and his bag of weed flies out of his bag. In the next shot, the campus security stops and pulls the bag of weed out from his bag.
Correction: When the Security crash in to Bradley the Business Hippie his back pack flies out of his hand with the bag of Weed still inside.
Corrected entry: Harold and Kumar are drinking their drinks at White Castle. Harold asked for a cherry coke, but when he was sucking on his see-through straw, he was drinking a clear liquid.
Correction: He was making a slurping noise indicating that he was out of coke and was, in fact, drinking the melted ice mixed with coke, that would explain the clear liquid.
Corrected entry: When Harold and Kumar see a hitch-hiker (Neil Patrick Harris) on the side of the road, NPH is only a short distance in front of them. Harold and Kumar then start arguing as to whether they should pick him up and when Kumar decides to pick him up and pulls up next to NPH considering how close NPH was and the speed that they were travelling at, they should have been well past him when Kumar finally decides to pick him up.
Correction: Things seem to happen at much a slower rate when stoned. I believe the director could have been perhaps filming in the time frame of the two guys, who were pretty stoned.
Corrected entry: When Harold and Kumar are finally eating their burgers, Harold's watch changes time from 3 o'clock to 3:30, and then finally 6:30 between shots.
Correction: Well they did order a lot of burgers and the scene was like different scenes from the day, so it might have actually taken them that long to eat the burgers.
Corrected entry: When Harold and Kumar almost drive off the cliff it takes them less then a minute to drive from the road to the cliff. When they decide to hang glide off the cliff down to White Castle it is very dark outside. When they get the hang glider all set up it is suddenly broad daylight - it shouldn't have taken them that long to set it up. The police car was right behind them and it took him considerably longer to get down the path. And when they cut back to the police car you can't see any light coming from behind the trees.
Correction: Why wouldn't it take them a long time to set up the hang glider? Neither of them has used one before, let alone set one up, so it could easily take them a long time. The police car wasn't right behind them. He continued straight on when they went down the path, then had to back up and follow them, which took quite a bit of time. And they were in an off-road vehicle, while the cop was in a normal car, so he'd find it difficult to follow them through the woods. Finally, the reason it was dark behind the cop car but light facing the cliff was because the sun was rising from the direction of the cliff, so that part of the sky was naturally brighter.
Correction: I believe they were lost at this point. Who says they are still in New Jersey?
