Continuity mistake: After Ron cleans himself up at the bar, we get a good closeup shot of his face, and there is no colored makeup. When Ron got to the zoo, he went straight into the bear pit to help Veronica. After coming from the bear pit, he goes on camera with blue makeup around his eyes. Did the bears put it on him?
Plot hole: At the end of the movie when getting out of the bear pit, the crew decides to use a ladder when a set of stairs can be seen. Was this so Vince Vaughn could give his respect speech?
Suggested correction: You forgot to mention the stairs are also in the bear cave and there's no guarantee they lead out of the pit.
Other mistake: In the scene where Ron and Veronica are in the car overlooking San Diego talking about the name, you can see just above Veronica's head, a bug climbing on the camera.
Factual error: Although the film is set in the 1970's, when Brian Fantana is on the phone talking with a distraught Ron Burgundy, a Rubik's Cube is seen on the desk. Rubik's Cube was not sold until the early 1980's.
Suggested correction: First of, what it is isn't Rubik's original "Magic Cube" (later called Rubik's Cube). It's a 2x2x2 puzzle that looks like what Larry Nichols invented in 1968 and patent in 1972. The Rubik's Cube is 3x3x3.
