Trivia: This was Antonio Banderas' first English-speaking film. He practically did not know English at the time, and he had to memorize the dialogues without understanding what he was saying.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where the brothers are sitting at the bar, Cesar lights up a cigarette and is holding it in his right hand. The shot cuts as he slaps Nestor on the shoulder with his right hand and the cigarette is magically in his left hand.
Anna Maria: He thinks he's the last Coca Cola in the desert.
Lanna Lake: Honey, he is.
