Continuity mistake: Evil Shelley wears red and white patterned socks as we see when Scotty pulls her out from the fireplace. Later when Scotty is dismembering her with the axe, he hits her ankles, and the socks are now all-red, thick, woolly socks which are longer in length too. (00:42:00 - 00:45:40)
Revealing mistake: When the girl chews off her own hand, when she pulls her face up, you can see the line where the makeup/mask ends and her normal skin begins. (00:45:30)
Continuity mistake: Scotty's shirt changes a bunch of times. His normal shirt is blue-and-white plaid, but when he's in the cellar with Ash, close-ups of him dismembering Evil Shelly, and outside after he and Ash have buried the bits of Evil Shelly, it's a plaid that's mostly red with a little yellow and blue. At the end, when Evil Scotty is in claymation, his plaid is mostly yellow with small red and blue stripes. (00:47:25 - 01:19:25)
Continuity mistake: The necklace around Linda's neck disappears from the time when she wakes up as Evil Linda to when Ash chains her down in the shed. (00:51:45 - 01:01:05)
Continuity mistake: When Ash is about to cut Linda with the chainsaw, you get a close up of her necklace, and it is visible, just under her neck. But in the next wide shot, the necklace is further down on top of her dress. (01:01:15)
Continuity mistake: When Ash is beating his dead ex-girlfriend with the plank, you can see the plank start to split in half; in the next shot, it's back to its original form. (01:05:25)
Continuity mistake: When Cheryl is trying to get in the front door, and Ash is pushing against it, Cheryl manages to get her hand in the door. Ash hits it with the end of his gun, which gets blood all over the side of the door and the wall. But in the next shot, the blood has vanished. (01:08:30)
Continuity mistake: When the pipe bursts over him and spills out about a water tower's worth of blood, it covers him, completely soaked him and then when you look at him after the burst, he's cleaner than ever. (01:09:45)
Continuity mistake: When he is in front of the movie projector, the blood starts dripping, it flashes from back and forth, looking at the projector and the projection over Ash. The blood is dripping in spots all over the lens, but when you look on the wall, its dripping from the top. (01:10:15)
Revealing mistake: When the blood filled light bulb explodes it is obviously not a real light bulb. When the mantle explodes you can see a small light bulb inside it. (01:11:05)
Revealing mistake: Watch the part when Ash takes the large wooden cabinet to block the door so Evil Cheryl can't get in. Evil Scotty suddenly sits up, however watch Ash in the background. He jolts, then the shot freezes. (01:13:10)
Continuity mistake: At one point in the movie, evil Cheryl thrusts her arms through the door, grabbing Ash, and creating two holes in the door. The size of these holes changes- compare them at the part where Ash is putting a bureau in front of the door (to keep Cheryl from getting in) to the part at the end where Ash is walking out of the cabin. (01:15:40 - 01:22:25)
Revealing mistake: When Ash shoots Cheryl through the door in the head, you can clearly see the hose (not an artery) that's squirting out the blood. (01:16:14)
Continuity mistake: At the end of the film, Ash gets blood splattered over his face, covering it entirely (when Evil Cheryl explodes.) Then in the next shot the blood is just partially dripping down his face. (01:17:40)
Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie, after all of the evil dead have finally been destroyed, Ash's face is covered in blood. But when he gets up from the floor, you can see the two patches where the blood from around his eyes has been wiped away. (01:18:25)
Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie, when evil-Cheryl is disintegrating, the hole that was shot in her face moves from one cheek to the other as the shots flash back and forth between her and Ash. (01:19:10)
Continuity mistake: Just after Ash has defeated the demons by throwing the book into the fire, he realises that it is dawn, if you look outside the window it is really bright outside yet when he actually steps out of the cabin, the sky is orange as the sun is just rising. (01:22:00)
Continuity mistake: At the end, Ash shuts the door behind him and we hear it click into the frame. A few shots later, the door is standing open a foot or two. (01:22:50)
Visible crew/equipment: When the people are driving over the bridge at the start, it goes to a shot of the front of the car. To the right of the car you can see a crew member holding a still camera.
Visible crew/equipment: In the beginning when Ash is walking up to the door for the first time you can see the shadow of a boom mike on the back of the swing.
