Audio problem: When their car is making a sharp turn at the beginning of the film, you can hear the tires screeching. This could only happen if they were on concrete, not on a dirt road. (00:01:15)
Audio problem: In the beginning when the group is driving to the cabin the sound of the car mysteriously cuts out. You can hear branches breaking but you can tell they are dubbed because the car drags a large bush behind it with no noise. (00:03:50)
Visible crew/equipment: When the people are driving over the bridge at the start, it goes to a shot of the front of the car. To the right of the car you can see a crew member holding a still camera.
Ash: You bastards, why are you torturing me like this? Why?
Trivia: When they are preparing and listening to the tape you can see a bit of smoke in the air. There had been an extended scene where they had been smoking pot and joking around. However, they used real pot when filming and much of what was shot ended up being unusable as a result. This is according to Bruce Campbell's Commentary to the DVD.
