Continuity mistake: When George and Lorna talk in the kitchen, the tennis racket, white towel it lies on and the sponge in the dishpan change positions repeatedly depending on the camera angles. (00:48:10)
Continuity mistake: When Lorna yells that she's nothing like her mother, in the wide shot she's holding the carrot in her right hand and she starts to sway her left hand. Yet in the next close-up as she sways her hand around, the carrot is now in her left hand. Also, the carrot changes size throughout this scene, regardless of the fact that it's being eaten. Continuity mistake: When Jill is in the restaurant with Johnny, the napkin, her utensils, etc. on the table move between the different camera angles. (00:50:15)
Continuity mistake: While George sits on his bed, as he and Jill are talking, the pillows, solid and color blankets change positions between the front and back shots. Then later, when she sits and puts her arm around him, that arm is positioned differently in the front and back shots too. (00:54:55)
Audio problem: At the party, when Jill and Johnny Pope are talking on the tennis court, after she asks, "When do you go to Egypt?" the audio we hear does not match his mouth movements at all. (01:22:20)
Continuity mistake: Before Jill throws the chair through the glass doors, the pants on the floor and the bottles in the fridge differ in their positions compared to after the door shatters. (01:24:45)
Continuity mistake: When Jill walks over to the coffee table, takes the earring and throws it, we see the hallway behind her. Then Jill confronts George and in this shot the telephone is seen on the floor in the hallway, where it wasn't in the previous shot. (01:28:55)
Continuity mistake: When George tells Jill the truth in her house, the hair at her shoulders changes repeatedly, going from tucked in her coat, to all out, to partially tucked and then out again, over and over, throughout this scene. (01:29:30)
Continuity mistake: As George walks in and finds Lester sitting on his couch, the TV is seen close to the chair and the antenna are positioned a certain way on top. When Lester raises the volume, the TV is closer to the fireplace and the antenna are positioned differently. However when Lester goes to the door to leave the TV and antenna's position are the same as in the first shot. (01:33:20 - 01:36:50)
Audio problem: Lester and George are talking at George's house and when we hear George reply, "Okay, thanks," his mouth does not move. (01:35:50)
Continuity mistake: At George's house, Lester comes back from the kitchen and tosses the towel onto the chair. In some shots of the chair, the towel isn't even there, and in the front shots of Lester sitting in that chair the towel keeps changing position. (01:36:15)
Continuity mistake: During George and Lester's frank discussion, the coffee table is seen in a variety of camera angles, and some of the things on the coffee table change their positions within these shots. (01:36:35)
Continuity mistake: George surprises Jackie, who's in the kitchen, and when she turns around the colander and dish inside are leaning towards the window and there are two wooden spoons on the counter. Yet in the next shot of her, the colander and dish lean towards the camera and the two smaller wooden spoons are now in the crock in the corner. (01:40:55)
Audio problem: When the cleaners pull up in front of Jackie's home, we hear the audio of the two dogs barking and yelping, but the dogs are in full view and they are both lying down quietly, not moving at all. (01:41:40)
Deliberate mistake: As George is speeding after Jackie on his motorcycle, in some of the shots as he rides past the camera it's apparent that it is not Warren Beatty in these shots but a stunt double, unlike other shots where it is Warren on the motorcycle. (01:42:20)
Continuity mistake: Jackie's luggage is in the trunk of Lester's car and the luggage stripes lie vertically in the trunk. Yet in the shot from the top of the hill, George looks down below, Lester's car is seen and the luggage stripes now lie horizontally. (01:45:45)
