Continuity mistake: When the guy at the concert is trying to sell the three remaining magazines, in the close-up shot of the magazines, he is holding them by the top of the page. But in the next shot, he is suddenly holding them by the bottom of the page. (00:01:20)

Casual Person

Revealing mistake: When CHAM first go on stage, many of the extras in the crowd are drawn without much detail put into their faces. Also, despite them cheering and being extremely excited to see the trio perform, they are shown standing completely still and not moving whatsoever. (00:02:30)

Casual Person

Revealing mistake: When Mima is at the supermarket, virtually every character shown standing in the background behind her is completely still and motionless, with no signs of body movement in the slightest. (00:03:34)

Casual Person

Revealing mistake: When the crowd are booing the hecklers, in a wide shot, most of the people are drawn without faces. This is even more noticeable when the crowd turn to Mima after she shouts at them. There is also very little detail is put into the animation of their hands, they come off as stumps attached to their arms, with no fingers. (00:06:26)

Casual Person

Revealing mistake: At the concert, when the hecklers are throwing the cups and cans at the crowd, and the crowd are doing the same thing to the hecklers, we can see many of the cans literally pop into frame when they are being thrown, and pop out of frame when they are close to landing at the other person. Clearly the cans were only drawn into the shot whenever they were being thrown and not whenever they came close to landing or before being thrown. (00:06:26)

Casual Person

Revealing mistake: When Mima begins performing her final song at the CHAM concert, there is a shot of three audience members at the front talking with one another. In the shot, the stalker character walks into frame. In the first few frames when he first appears, there are two drops of blood on the right hand side of his face. But these drops of blood were not drawn into every single frame of the shot, as they pop off his face mid-way through the shot. (00:08:07)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: When Mima is in her apartment for the first time, there is a shot of her placing three letters on a table, on top of each other. The letter on the bottom has a pink envelope, the letter in the middle has a white envelope and the letter on top has a blue envelope. In a wide shot of the room a few seconds later, the envelopes have changed order. The blue envelope is now on the bottom, the pink envelope is now in the middle and the white envelope is now on top. (00:09:47)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: In the shot of Mima lying face down on her bed, there is a brown handheld mirror shown on the nightstand to the bottom left hand corner of the frame. But in the next shot, the handheld mirror on the nightstand is now red. (00:10:03)

Casual Person

Revealing mistake: The animation for the news reports shown on the television are incredibly cheap and simplistic. The design of the reporters and the background behind them is far from finished and does not appear realistic in the slightest. Also, everything that is shown on the television is just a still image where none of the people in it are shown moving. (00:10:12)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: When Mima is putting away the posters of her and her band mates, in the shot where she puts the rolled up posters in a bag, the poster on the right is shown to have a bow wrapped around it. (00:10:42)

Casual Person

Revealing mistake: Whilst Mima is opening the letters, there is a shot where she is sitting on her bed in the foreground of shot, and the TV is playing in the background of shot. On the shelf below the television is a game console with two controllers on top of it. The animation for the controller on the right is very weird. The right side is drawn longer than the left side, and its positioning on top of the console makes it appear as if it is hovering above it. (00:10:47)

Casual Person

Revealing mistake: Mima is having a conversation with her mother whilst sitting on the floor with her knees bent and shown positioned on the floor. There are frames during the conversation where we can see her knees passing over the edge of the table next to her. (00:11:32)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: When Mima is on the phone with her mother, just after she says "No more singing", she is smiling, but in the next shot, she is suddenly not. (00:11:41)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: When Mima gets another call whilst in the middle of a call with her mother, she says "Hello" after taking the call. In one shot, her fingers are positioned around the phone towards the middle, but in the next shot, her fingers are nearer, towards the bottom of the phone. (00:12:15)

Casual Person

Revealing mistake: When they are filming the TV show, whenever a monitor or television on the set showing what the cameras are filming is shown, the characters shown on it are standing completely still and motionless. The animators likely only drew a still image to show on the monitors and television without drawing any character movements. (00:14:21)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: When Rumi opens up the script to see what line Mima is going to deliver on camera, nothing can be seen on the page she is shown reading. It then cuts to a close-up of the page and a small bookmark has suddenly appeared on the page. (00:15:27)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: The producer takes a letter from a handful of fan letters. Shown on the front of the envelope are a label with name and address details and a stamp. In the next shot, the label with the name and address details and the stamp have disappeared from the envelope. (00:16:55)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: Mima is watching Rumi set up her new computer. In the reflection of the monitor, we can see a calendar on the wall behind him. The first number on the bottom row of calendar is 26 in the reflection. A minute later, when Rumi asks "what are you going to do with a clip", we can see the calendar in the background and it is now the number 27 shown to be the first number on the bottom row. The number 27 also changes colour from black to red in between the two shots. (00:19:02 - 00:20:12)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: Whilst Rumi is helping Mima install the Macintosh Perfoma, below the monitor is an Apple logo. When the shot cuts, the Apple logo has disappeared from the computer. (00:19:10)

Casual Person

Revealing mistake: When the fashion show on the television show is being shown, members of the audience are shown taking photographs on their cameras, but their hands don't move. They are never shown pressing the button on the cameras to take the photo, but the photos seem to get taken anyway. (00:22:46)

Casual Person

Mima's Ghost: Nobody cares for you anymore. You're tarnished and you're filthy.
