Continuity mistake: When Henry confronts Ford and asks 'Where are my goddam bikes?', Ford is drinking a bottle of Bud and holding it in his left hand. However, when you get a closeup of Ford drinking from the bottle, he has it in his right hand. This occurs several times in the scene. (00:15:40)

Richard Holmes

Continuity mistake: After the wild end-chase explosion, Ford is thrown in front of a bus. When you first see the bus, an old man without a beard drives, yet two shots later, it's a completely different man with a big, brown beard driving.

Revealing mistake: When the Hummer is flying through the air, you can see that most of the underside of the vehicle is missing, the engine, transmission, driveline, fuel tanks, all gone.

Sol Parker

Continuity mistake: When Ford jumps on his y2k bike, he's not wearing sunglasses. Once the shot changes, some have appeared.

Other mistake: In the opening scene where the two cars race. they use a traffic signal to start the race. This traffic signal is in the middle of nowhere and there is no intersection at this light and a single lane road. Also, there aren't even supports for the traffic light on either side (which would be necessary because the light is suspended from a wire), which is most visible during the crane shots.

Continuity mistake: We can see the hummer jeep starting to spin in the air when it hits the "ramp". But when it lands on the Porsche it fall directly down. It should have been coming from the side and not like a brick from the sky.

Panther

Factual error: When Ford is about to start up the Y2K bike, Ice Cube's character is giving some stats on the bike like o to 200 in ten seconds, and carbon fiber chassis, he's got it all wrong. The bike does zero to 204 in 6.1 seconds and is made of aluminum; with only carbon fiber wheels, not the chassis.

Sol Parker

Factual error: The scenes where Ford et al escape the truck stop in the racing trailer is one huge mistake. First, there is no way that they can close and latch the door from the inside. The scene shows the truck pulling away, just as they are swinging the door closed. There is no way to latch the door from the inside of the trailer, someone outside would have to latch it as seen at the roadblock.

Audio problem: When Agent Henderson is talking to Sheriff Barnes, it cuts to the other FBI agent talking on the phone and you can see Agent Henderson in the background and she is asking the Sheriff to explain what a typical homicide is, yet her mouth doesn't move.

Factual error: In the movie, both Ford and the two chicks somehow do a burnout, lift the front wheel, and spin 90 degrees, all without moving. This is impossible. A burnout happens when you lose traction, and a wheelie happens when you have too much. And the spinning is just impossible.

Other mistake: During the scenes when Ford and co are inside the race car trailer, there are amber lights flashing over them as if they are driving under streetlights. However, the trailer they are in does not have windows or sunroofs, as seen in all the exterior shots, so there is no way passing under streetlights would be visible inside.

Revealing mistake: During the Ford and Trey chase sequence involving the train, we see Ford jump the ramp and land on the train. Then when we see Trey riding toward the ramp but he veers off at the last second before the camera angle changes so that they can then complete the scene using CGI.

Scrappy

Continuity mistake: Ford rides the sportscar when the truck is halted the second time. When the car breaks out through the boxes, the lower front is damaged and cracked. When the car lands and takes a U-turn to resume the escape, the lower front is now no longer damaged.

Agent McPherson: I gave Ford a chance to tell the truth six months ago, he ran. I gave him another chance last night, he ran again. Innocent men, Henderson, don't run.

Trivia: The bike that's silver and generic looking? It's called the Y2K, the one bike that sounds like a helicopter winding up and there at least 10 of those in the world.
