Continuity mistake: At Operation Sky Hook, Gen. Hanley tries to get Dr. Marvin to stop the launch, but he can't. We see the rocket several times on the doctor's video screen and the rocket that actually blasts of is not the same one we first see, as the tail fans are painted differently. (00:10:20)

Visible crew/equipment: Gen. Hanley drives up to "Operation Sky Hook" and the guard says, "No one allowed in, sir. There's a rocket taking off now". You can see the reflection of the cameraman in the side vent window of the car. (00:08:45)
Continuity mistake: As the Marvin's listen to the tape recording of the UFO, Dr. Marvin stops the recorder and uses his finger to re-wind it. If you look closely he goes way past the spot where the sound started. (00:08:00)
