Corrected entry: When Rockoff takes a picture of Pran for his fake passport the view through the eyepiece shows a tiled wall that isn't there. (01:08:05)
The Killing Fields (1984)
1 corrected entry
Directed by: Roland Joffe
Starring: John Malkovich, Julian Sands, Sam Waterston, Haing S. Ngor
Continuity mistake: When the protagonists are trying to get to the French embassy they pass a VW beetle whose windshield is smashed by a Red Khmer. The camera angle is not very helpful but if you look closely you see that the window is gone already, and the pieces flying over the hood are from the bit of glass that sticks in the frame. (00:56:50)
U.S. Consul: This thing has dragged on too long for it to end in all sweetness and light and after what the Khmer Rouge have been through I don't think they're going to be exactly affectionate toward westerners.
Trivia: Haing S. Ngor became the first Cambodian and the second non-actor (he is a doctor by trade) to win an Oscar for an acting role. Unfortunately, Ngor was murdered in a gang-related robbery at his home on February 25, 1996.

Correction: What appears to be tile is actually a grid pattern in the viewfinder of the Rolleiflex camera. If you look closely, you can see that the grid covers Pran's face and shirt, not just the wall.
