Corrected entry: After the scene where the crime lord gets busted out of the prison truck by his bald buddy posing as a cop, there is a press conference held by the LAPD. They mention that two men assaulted the prison bus with AK-47's. They weren't. One was carrying a silenced pistol, and the other was carrying something that looked like an Uzi.
Corrected entry: At the shooting range, during the SWAT training session, Hondo makes a bet with some of the other SWAT officers that Jim Street could beat TJ McCabe in a shooting challenge. All of the other officers are shocked to hear about such a bet, with Boxer specifically saying "Come on, Hondo. He's from the Gun Cage." Wasn't Street just a member of the SWAT team a few months ago? In fact, some of the officers who were so surprised at the bet were the same ones that complimented Street after the screw-up at the bank. It's almost as if they forgot Street was ever a SWAT member at all.
Correction: They're not shocked that he's challenging a SWAT officer to a shooting match, they're shocked that someone who knows about McCabe's shooting ability is actually stupid enough to bet that he can beat him.
Corrected entry: When LL Cool J arrests the perpetrator in the LA Lakers gear, he handcuffs the guy but does not read him his Miranda Rights. Without reading his rights the man is allowed to go free without any charges against him.
Correction: Miranda Rights are only necessary when law enforcement is questioning a suspect under arrest. Spontaneous utterances and statements made by a suspect are still admissible even if Miranda has not been read. In this case, the arrest is valid.
Correction: It is not a requirement to immediately mirandize a suspect in custody. It is a good thing to do just in case, but up until they begin speaking or confessing a miranda warning is largely unnecessary.
Corrected entry: When the Learjet is taking off from the bridge the limo can easily keep up with the jet. A jet accelerates within seconds to 200 km/h and I doubt a limo can drive that fast. If it could it'd be at the same level with the jet only for seconds because the jet takes off. In the scene they stay level for several seconds.
Correction: Jets, other than fighters, accelerate slower than you might imagine from a standing start. There have been many "drag races" between cars and bike and fighter jets, and until the jet leaves the ground, the fast cars and bikes can easily beat them. Passenger jets, even smaller ones at full thrust from a standing start, will not pick up sufficient speed for takeoff for some distance, so it is quite possible a large V8 could keep up. They really only gather a lot of speed when they leave the ground.
In what world can a limo not only keep up with, but overtake a jet?
Corrected entry: If anyone has ever flown in one of those jets, you know that they accelerate like a sports car. There is no way the limo would be able to catch up unless the plane's door was open, but the door was only opened after the limo caught up.
Correction: If you listen someone says "get this plane up" or words to that effect, then the pilot says "get that door closed" meaning the door was probably open.
Correction: This may have been a deliberate mistake to make the Captain look stupid. When he announces that the baddies were carrying AK-47s you see one of the County Sheriffs turn his head sharply and stare at the Captain with a look of surprise. It suggests that the Captain doesn't know his firearms.
