Continuity mistake: When Lyon's brother is kicked to the floor, the guy with white sneakers stands next to his rib cage. In the close-up he's next to his head. (00:01:44)
Continuity mistake: When the officials return after looking for Lyon, the driver's hand is grabbing the lower part of the wheel. Shot later it's on the upper part. (00:08:30)
Continuity mistake: Lyon's commander is asking a man in a suit for help to find Gaultier. The man's hand is holding the paper, but away from it a shot later. (00:10:35)
Continuity mistake: When Lyon and Joshua are out on the streets at night looking to use a phone, they walk past a row of homeless people on the sidewalk. Joshua then says, "Why don't we get a cab outta here?" In the very next far shot, all the homeless people next to them have disappeared. (00:32:22)
Continuity mistake: When Lyon tells Cynthia he wants to open a bank account, her hand is raised and holds a glass of wine. From the opposite angle it's lowered. (00:50:38)
Continuity mistake: After being almost drowned in the pool, Lyon punches a guy on his ribs, his long hair covering his nose. A shot later his hairstyle has changed completely. (01:01:57)
Continuity mistake: During Lyon's last fight with Attila. Right after he tells Joshua "wrong bet", Joshua is all over the place. He starts out on all fours. Next thing he's gone, then he's by the tent door, then he's back on all fours, then on his knees clapping. Every-time you see a close up of him cheering you can tell he's still on all fours. Audio problem: In the final fight, Joshua says multiple times to Lyon, "This dude's gonna kill your ass, man!" The last time he says it, his lips do not match the line at all. (01:32:01)
Audio problem: Near the middle of the movie, in the scene when Van Damme's friend Joshua is taking Helene money, you see that the military police have set up a surveillance across the street. They show the policeman's point of view as he is looking through binoculars. You can hear Joshua spray breath freshener into his mouth. The window is closed and they are too far away to hear this on a busy street.
Factual error: It's highly unlikely that any military police from another country would be allowed entry into the U.S. to search for a deserter of its military. In any case, the illegal alien would just hide here under the radar until found by ICE or the police and then deported back to his or her country.
Continuity mistake: During the fight in the pool, Lyon's big tattoo on his chest disappears. You can see a very faint blue shadow on his chest from the previous make-up.
Continuity mistake: When the fight in the NY alley ends, the man lying unconscious on the floor on the upper left changes positions between the first and second shot.
Continuity mistake: When Lyon is about to fight against Sonny in the basement, Sonny pushes the referee aside, half a meter away. A shot later the referee is suddenly right next to Sonny, whose hand is on his shoulder.
Continuity mistake: During the fight on the streets of NY, the position of the spectators is not continuous between shots. Most of the time they appear on both sides, check a man in a black and red plaid jacket.
Continuity mistake: When the soldiers say they couldn't find Lyon, the guard behind is on the far right side of the entrance. A shot later he's on the far left side.
Audio problem: When Lyon is driving away from the compound with the jeep he elbow-punches his commander, but the sound is missing.
Continuity mistake: When Lyon's brother is in ER, his wife holds a sleeping baby, his hands covered under her long hair. A shot later the hair is partially tucked behind her shoulders. This swaps back and forth.
Continuity mistake: When Lyon is about to be put inside the hot box, a soldier on the right is carrying and later launching a sand bag. Shot changes and he is repeating all previous movements.
Revealing mistake: When Lyon's brother is set on fire he's wearing fireproof gloves and hood.
Continuity mistake: Near the middle. In the fight scene between Van Damme and the Scotsman, Van Damme gets poked in the left eye. He then gets thrown onto a parked car. As he gets up he is now grabbing his right eye instead of the left one that just got poked.
