Continuity mistake: In the scene where Gilbert and his buddy's are eating in the cafe. The first time you see the undertakers bowl of cereal, it keeps changing from full to empty several times.
Arnie Grape: I killed him Gilbert, I killed him.
Trivia: Johnny Depp was unhappy about the fact that he spoke negatively about Darlene Cates (Mama) while he was in character as Gilbert; he would frequently and sincerely apologize to her between takes.
